The location directly on the Gendarmenmarkt is unbeatable. Rooms are for my taste somewhat wanted stylish, but altogether nice. Definitely should for me the room in a luxury hotel have somewhat more place than just about 70 centimeters around the bed -even in NY I haven't smaller room. For one night straight still OK, but the clothes I more often somewhere-that shouldn't be. I inhabited a prestige suite with a magnificent view of the Gendarmenmarkt. The room was perfect, there was nothing to complain about. The staff are in every respect very helpful, the next to the hotel restaurant 'Aigner' absolutely recommendable nonetheless in contrast to direct around the corner the 'Borchardt'. The hotel captivates with its central location, perfect size for a suite and the always attentive, but never intrusive staff. Fascinating are the fragrances in the whole hotel -fresh and mysterious. ... Of course everything a Sofitel so can offer in the room available. Wonderful beds, free coffee, fine scent shower gel and bubble bath hermes. The room only has a shower, however with tropical rain. Small, somewhat strenuous (since built up) to begehender balcony with great views.
From the check-in to the check out very friendly staff. Specifically, the women and men at reception noteworthy still out. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned.
Unfortunately, no one noticed, that the tv or its remote control was broken.

Ideal location for shopping and sightseeing. We can recommend the hotel most warmly. And would choose this hotel again at any time. From the front desk to checking out, everything was okay. The room was very large and nice. The bathroom could have been a bit bigger, but all the amenities were available. The only thing that bothered us, was the room safe. So that you can use, you have to go through a mandatory credit. The breakfast buffet was everything the heart could desire. The breakfast room was brilliant. Very bright, yet only skylights....
