The hotel is located in a very central location in the heart of downtown Montreal. To the Main shopping street there is about a 5 minute walk, about 15 minute walk to the old town. The hotel offers all the comforts, which one expects from a five-star hotel. We had booked a standard room and we were in a Deluxe room (10. Top floor) upgrade. The Sofitel in Montreal is located in the business district area just a few minutes walk from the main shopping street. Although the intersection, offers you peaceful nights thanks to soundproofed windows is no noise. The reception staff are very helpful. A complaint (the hair dryer in the bathroom didn't work) was repaired quickly. Only the concierge service was a bit 'condescending", but still worked. At the McGill University centrally located. In the near vicinity various dining and shops. side of the hotel was a nice mini "beer garden in the good, but also very expensive, drinks and snacks. The metro is just around the corner. The station is also a McGill entrance in the Underground City, the impressive. In summary, I think the hotel an ideal base from which to enjoy all that Montreal.
