Hotel location
The Solana Hotel is a newly finished 4-star Hotel situated in the centre of the quaint village of Mellieha. The Hotel's façade, built in traditional Maltese Limestone is a good introduction to what lies behind. The Solana Hotel’s architectural characteristics and location were well thought in advance to cater for the leisure and the business traveller alike.

Bellini Restaurant
The distinctive restaurant at Solana Hotel complimented with quality service, fabulous cuisines, selected foreign and local wines, an elegant setting and more. It is here that both Local and International flavours can be savoured in comfy surroundings with local scenes across the restaurant’s terrace leading to the busiest road of the Village. Tosca Restaurant offers Buffet service for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and the selection is abundant to look at… let alone to place on the plate!! But that is the local tradition when it comes to food…. abundance with quality………….

Café Puccini
A must visit Coffee Shop offering a wide selection of baguettes and snacks, salads, home made pastries and coffee specialities a choice of cocktails, local and foreign beers and International drinks. This is the Hotel’s meeting spot at any time of day. Café Puccini prominently set at The Hotel’s Lobby and offers the best of both Worlds! A lounge area with numerous comfortable sofas and couches and a seating area with Café style tables and chairs. The glass counter at the bar pleases the eye with a rainbow of pastries, gateaux, cakes, fruit flans, muffins, almond fancies, rum balls….. and the local speciaity; Kannoli tal-irkotta- A deep fried pastry tube filled with creamed cottage cheese sprinkled with angel dust. A quick lunch is also available from a snack menu offering more than alternative food. Café Puccini transforms it’s lively ambiance to a mellow atmosphere during the evenings, with subtle lighting , live entertainment and liqueur sipping through the night……..


Vista De Mar - 'Open in Summer - weather permitting'
At the roof top with breathtaking views of the Village, Ghadira Bay and the sister Islands of Comino and Gozo, this venue is a relaxing spot for all those who would like to spend a day by the pool in tranquil surroundings. The deck offers a splendid Mediterranean set-up for a swim in the pool or a lazy afternoon on the sun- bed with refreshing drinks and appetising snacks from the bar. This venue portrays Mediterranean life at it's best with the clear blue summer sky toppling over the colourful roof tops of the nearby typical Maltese Houses, and the steeples of the Church. The turquoise pool gazes lonely in the evening, as the flame dances out of the sizzling barbecue grill which is available upon request (subject to a minimum amount of persons)

Tosca Restaurant
The newly opened A La Carte Restaurant caters for those who want to spend a relaxing evening watching the world go by. Situated on Mellieha's main street the Tosca serves a variety of Mediterranean dishes aimed to tempt taste buds of all walks of life.



Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel



To complement the beautifully decorated rooms, and the superior service standard, the Solana Hotel incorporates unlimited free use of unique modern and very well kept leisure facilities.
The outdoor pool area elevated above the village of Mellieha and right in the center of the valley gives you an almost aerial view of the Islands of Gozo and Comino and Mellieha Bay which seems to be just beneath you. Many enjoy lazy afternoons in this pool area, enhanced with hydro massage facilities. Others simply relax by sampling the cocktail menu, taking in the Maltese sun and enjoying the view which as the famous Maltese song says, is the most beautiful in Malta.
The indoor leisure facilities, compromising of the indoor heated pool area and the fitness centre appeal to all age gaps. Both adults and children alike enjoy a relaxing swim or an afternoon of fun at our large indoor pool whose water temperature exceeding 28 degrees Celsius, make it an all year must visit when staying at the Solana Hotel.

Calories have now become the disturbance of many and this is why many choose an early-morning work-out at our fully air-conditioned Fitness Centre which also comes equipped with adjacent changing rooms, private showers and bathrooms.

Parents can enjoy their evening at the Bellini Restaurant whilst their kids are safely enjoying themselves in the kids room nearby. The room is open all day long and will surely be enjoyed by the little ones.

The Solana offers a total of 65 luxurious rooms meticulously designed and equipped to suit the needs of business and leisure travelers.

All rooms have their own balcony and terrace and are equipped with an individually controlled Air-conditioning system, Satellite TV, Direct-dial telephone, Frigo Bar (stocked upon request), Room Safe, Tea and Coffee Making Facilities, ISDN Laptop Connection (at a charge), in-room DVD facilities (available upon request) and a large luxurious En-suite bathroom. Apartments are also equipped with a very practical kitchenette and in-room dining facilities as well as an additional sofa bed.
