The privately-owned and managed hotel is situated right at the waterfront of lake Ziegelsee, quiet, and within 15 minutes walking distance from the historic centre.
Gastronomy in the hotel
Whatever the occasion, we'll provide the perfect atmosphere! In recent years, our restaurant "aurum" under our chef Markus Podszus earned a distinctive reputation in Schwerin.
Enjoy our healthy and refined Mecklenburg cuisine while the sun sets in purple colours over lake Ziegelsee!
Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel
Our new fitness room has 55m2, enjoys daylight and is equipped with modern exercise mashines for endurance and muscle built-up. A big flatscreen tv entertains you while exercising. The fitness room disposes of the following equipment: 2 Greg Lemond spinning bikes, 1 multi-power station for shoulder, 1 crosstrainer with many computer supported programmes, 1 aqua-rowing mashine, 1 ergonomic bicycle (exercise device), three gym pads, water & fruits.
Relax in our spacious sauna area! You will find the classic Finnish Sauna (90 degrees Celsius), a Sanarium (75 degrees Celsius) and two jade-thermal massage tables for free use. Water and fruits will be available in the relaxation room.
Hotel room/Accommodation
All rooms have fully equipped bathrooms or bathrooms with showers including floor heating and hair dryers. You can enjoy 60 digital tv or radio programmes. Mobile phone reception is guaranteed and all rooms are furnished with a large desk. W-LAN is free of charge for access to the internet. If you forgot your laptop we will lend you ours.
We eliminated mini bars due to a negative energy balance but we do offer 24-hour room service (warm meals until 22h30) with snacks, drinks and sweets.

The hotel is a former granary, in the meantime with much attention to detail and converted. The hotel lies right next to Ziegelsee. Half the room lake and a great view over water. The hotel owns a private boat landing. The bar, as well as breakfast room/ restaurant are perfect in the former storage rooms integrated and a private atmosphere. For 1-3 nights a very nice hotel for business or Stäftereisende. The sauna area was clean and simple. Adequate for a short break and usable. Drinks and fruit were free of charge there. The rooms are clean and well equipped. No flat screen tv and pay tv. A window with a fly screen, but could not be opened, because of the construction noise was too much.
