Hotel Stein

This hotel has its best times already behind itself. The rooms are quite shabby, Beit far from the hotel was satisfactorily available and not at all on the four stars! Bathroom without plug socket, with aborted towel hooks, no ventilation, rooms without mirrors, relatively measly lighting, switch without functions, sound loud noises from the windows on the street side, and so on, the only positive point was the huge king bed with comfortable mattress. The location is great. The room was OK, the bathroom was a nightmare. It was small and not on the state of the art. The shower was very small and moldy. Tiles in the bathroom were holes of the former things to see. The toilet paper holder was broken, so that the paper on the floor (which the cleanliness a bit gross). We have booked the hotel for two nights reserve furnished, but for the second night looking for another. The staff at the front desk has no competence and can therefore avoid criticism bad. Ice cold water for the morning shower, complicated light shows in the rooms, noise! Next time somewhere else and drinks on the terrace outside. Parking situation a disaster, 45 minutes per minute cost of the car. Price/performance ratio acceptable. Read more

The location right across from the hohensalzburg fortress is simply fantastic, the best way to enjoy breakfast on the roof terrace. The staff tried hard, but seemed a little helpless. The decor of the hotel was generally very worn down and dingy, the room was very large & clean with a view of the fortress. The parking lot is relatively far away and very expensive (€19, -/ night). The breakfast buffet was a bit poor and not really fresh, the staff was rather slow. Read more

Great location, a few minutes walk to the old town. Well renovated rooms, the night in (transport, bars), therefor view of the fortress and the cathedral from the bed. Breakfast on the seventh floor of the glazed coffee bar with stunning views; breakfast buffet Okay, coffee selection above average. Parking spaces are very expensive, but a general problem of Salzburg. A nice weekend in a hotel with style, again at any time. Read more
