Superficially Grand, great lobby, restaurant and lounge. Imposing hallways, great location, great view ... But the room itself had we were expecting something more. Not really "bad", they were for a Fairmont which says it the best hotel in front of you and socially prominent houses and state visitors staying here really too small. It was clean, but not Piccobello and a luxurious bathroom is completely different. If you want to claim to have stayed in it, then. It is also close to everything else we wanted -2 min walk to The Parliament buildings, cross the street to the Rideau Shopping Centre, 8 min walk to ByWard Markets and 20 min walk over a gorgeous bridge w an amazing view of literally everything, to the Museum of Canadian Civilization (Que). - in August 10
