... parking at the hotel 28 CAD. Direct access from the hotel (elevator/escalator) to "Basse" and Centralstadion. Numerous restaurants and shopping possibilities available. It is a good value for breakfast. Nearest underground metro stop is about 10 minutes walk. The rooms are not very large, but sufficient. There is a separate smoking floor. Internet access via wireless in the room for 15.5 CAD/day. Our bathroom was small and somewhat worn in contrast to the rest of the room. The air conditioner was adjustable. Grande Dame hotel in the middle of the city just right in between the shopping and the entertainment district. Unfortunately much gone lost demand of renovation - very good. Ambience in the typical US-hotel brown/beige. Room rather spartan and class not appropriate. Bathroom clean, but small and not inviting. No in-room safe. (But super-hair dryer. ) Pool (at least 10 * 5m) together with the fitness center in the basement (well equiped). Dingy locker rooms with closet space. As part of an international conference we have seen at university level Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth than hotel elected and through the bank disappointed. This hotel deserves 5 stars in any way, is dirty, noisy and complete rip-off. There are really very good hotels in Montreal downtown, the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth is definitely not one of them! The hotel is very centrally located. Many attractions and the shopping streets are within easy walking distance. Directly from the hotel gives you access to the underground city, so that one could not before the door is in winter. The outside of the hotel is not really a beautiful sight. Inside was very much value on attractive design, high-quality materials and plenty of space. The hotel features the over 1000 rooms over several event rooms and is often booked for conferences and congresses.
