construction designed by architect Gene Kaufman. The Strand features a sleek grand lobby with limestone flooring and a captivating stone-and-glass circular staircase with a two story water fall
cascading down to our lower level.

Central city hotel. Breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and cereal, sandwiches etc. ! Coffee and water/juice from only paper cups ... But it's "American". We really liked it. Room could have been a bit bigger and more counter space and storage space. We had 1 week really problems, everything to get. View from the 11th floor through the picture windows of the Empire State Building was worth every euro: -) Would stay there again! Staff was super nice and endeavored. A little house with 20 floors. The hotel is only for a short time and opened in good condition. We chose especially because of the rooftop terrace with a view of the Empire State Building. Unfortunately the real stay very disappointing: The photos are with wide angle lens and what enticing and generous seemed, turned out to be cramped rather intense and for a pleasant stay.

This hotel is highly recommended. The staff was always very friendly to us. The hotel is very clean and is a very classy. We had our room on the back side so it was very quiet at night and no street noise was heard. Unfortunately during our stay was the breakfast room has been converted into a other temporary so we had to eat your breakfast. The Roof bar is the worst thing happened unobstructed view of the Empire State Building gigantic! The breakfast menu besides meat/cheese and jams always fresh fruit, pastries, sandwiches and yogurt with cereals were offered. Ideal strengthening for the day! The rooftop bar opens daily from 17.00 h and offers a wonderful view of the Empire State Building. Access only 21 years old. A business office incl. The bar on the roof, we were so excited, gave us a little disappointed: Very loud music and the bartender still need training in Cocktailmixen, but definitely a giant view!
