the hotel lies right on the marina-I wanted to dive a week and my wife a week = perfect combination. El gouna is to say, that it happens very exclusive compared to the giant hotels in Hurghada and Sharm it. The Egyptians were friendly and less intrusive. The hotel lies right on the Marina and the diving school (blue brothers diving = separate report) is directly in the hotel integrated only about 50 meters and from the boat station. Our room was very nice, large, in very good condition (it has everything worked, a small repair was within ten... Read more

We felt really well cared for in every respect. The hotel lies at the back at the wonderful lagoon, at the front of the marina and the opened sea. It was certainly not the newest hotel, but older must not always be worse. Read more

We were very well cared for. All were always very friendly, cheerful, helpful and fun. We love the Egyptian mentality and are very nice and have been dealt with. In this hotel it was due to the seclusion is a bit of a Agatha Christie film. English flair, afternoon tea and a view of the bay/lagoon on three different angles. No construction, was spotless and quiet. Very nice and great entertainment! Read more

Really something different since it was situated directly at the Mari Nadas which, some really beautiful yachts. El gouna is always for a trip you can undertake without much to be constantly chatted up, but if you may only ask what fare as this and you are in the real Egypt. Hotel is really okay it really care of the guests also thanks to the very nice guests. Advisor to Judith. The hotel to the beach is rather something for children but you can also use the Zaytona beach with the Tok Tok there about three entrance to solve, and great snorke... Read more

Most of the reviews we have read have the usual good word for the facilities and friendly staff, this holtel is no different But I would like to bring to the fore front the unsung team, the management team who run this hotel like a well oiled machine Their efforts and orginisational skills contributed to us having a fantastic holiday, so much so that we are returning on the 21st December for 7 days over Christmas 2010 Many Thanks Dave & Marion (ex room 2465). - in September 10

I was quite suprised to see negative reviews early on in the year and thought we had made a mistake booking this hotel, But now having had 2 weeks there the people who said the food was bad should pay the extra and go al a carte as the food was faultless and plenty of variety the staff were helpfull freindly, in fact could not do enough for you The animation team were great an put on entertaining shows as well as the pool activities The singer and guitar player who was on every night on the lagoon terrace was great as a background music entertainment The location of the hotel teriffic, I cannot praise this hotel enough, yes the rooms are slightly dated but large and spotlessly clean , I would not hesitate to reccommend this hotel to anyone and please ignore the negative reviews as the people who write these should pay the extra money for a top flight hotel as this hotel is fantastic value for money and we had a fantastic holiday there

Bad points *Some of the other guests were a bit chavvy- we were kept awake one night by girls having a screaming argument at 2am- this went on until 3am *The dine around option is a joke- you get about £4 off your bill *There is a bar opposite the hotel which had loud music every night- fair enough- on Thursday night though the music was so loud that we couldn't even hear the TV in our room over the music- this went on until 4. - in November 09

the hotel is outdated and well beyound an upgrade date, the plaster is flaking a lot all over the hotel, the rooms could do with a few licks of paint and a furniture update, we ended up with a lovely room with a view, but they gave us twin beds, even though we asked for a double(we been married 32 years) and to ge tin the wardrobe you had to move a bed because there was not enough room to open door, there was water on arrival in the fridge, but it was never once refilled after that and we had to get water from hotel reception bar. - in September 10

Stayed here for one week all inc and must admit the reviews are better than the actual hotel After landing it was an almighty cock up at the airport thomas cook passengers sent into one queue to pay more than the rest we were told it was to pay the reps wages in the airport Arrived at the hotel after midnight and got checked in quite quicky also given a voucher for a meal as the restaurant was closed basically we grabbed a bite and wnt to bed We had fruit and cake left in the room for us quite a nice touch but not very edible The room was spacious with a good sized bathroom and a fantastic view over the marina We did have a problem with the sinkplug which to solve the problem they took the plug out and said they would be back to fix it (Still waiting) The pool area was large and and busy but we tended to find a spot of the sandy part which was quieter then decided it was more chilled out at the du port side which you could always get a lounger The beach was a huge dissapointment and after 5 minutes there we left Dine around options what a nightmare there so intent of selling there own restaurant and wont inform you of the other restaurants on the marina which operate the dinearound Food one word DISGUSTING on the last morning we sat outside watching the birds actually sitting on the bread and picking away at it the staff did nothing to chase them out there needs to be something put into place to stop this happening I also couldnt believe they had anti bacterial handwash at the entrace to the restaurant yet had none in the toilets next to the bar in reception a couple of guests complained about this no hand wash no soap and the dryer didnt work but when the staff are using the toilets then serving drinks surely it should be top priority Staff where friendly enough but you always get the odd one whos over freindly theres only so many times they come behind you and tap you on the shoulder and meow like a cat once or twice you can cope with but when its repeatedly it does get on your nerves All in all it was the weathe that made this holiday i certainly wouldnt go back or recommend it - in August 10

we stayed TCOV for our first trip to egypt, i just have to say its valve for money, we didnt know what to expect but we got a nice suprise, we got the room we requested ( 2272) by reading the reviews on here, a great room with great views, food ok, didnt get a upset tummy, drinks ok 2 ice fine, so didnt go hungry and always well watered ! - in November 09
where do we start, we were in two minds on to choose this hotel or either the sheraton or movenpick but as this one did the all inclusive option and location seemed to be better we went for the TCOV, i read on here about requesting room numbers and sent email to the hotel and got the room we requested, the view was awsome from the balchony, ( room 2362) over looking the lagoon and sheraton and sea, the hotel is split into 2 section the du port and soeil which is where the main restraunt and our room was, both the pools are basically the same , the du port one had nicer four poster bed lounges but the soeil pool had the beach and swimming area in the sea attached to it, the food i thought was decent but my girlfriend did have one day of upset tummy but apart from that it was fine, the drinks were ok, the luxor beer is on tap and the red wine also on tap was consumed by the bucket load . - in November 09
8 of us went to this hotel some of us e mailed hotel for rooms a view and we got them found the staff very friendly and helpful the hotel do a marina eve and a bendoin eve for 15 euro this was well worth the money also they run a free boat trip around the lagoon book soonever you get there as the places soon get taken up, lots of choice of food to choose from drinks ok a shame you can onle choose from 2 different cocktails a day if you stay at the three corners you can walk a few yards to the duport thats where the shows are put on by the animation team didnt find many going when we were there maybe they couldnt be bothered to do the walk and finding the drinks once there was a pain fact is we didnt at the three corners was a singer every night he was ok ish next door was the peanuts bar which dont get started till we were thinking of bed only downside was 6 out of the 8 of us went down with bad tummy bugs and cant think why we went through loads of immodian we had to be down by 7 to get sun beds in the sandy area sea deep no shallow bits you can get a free shuttle bus to the beach where you can walk forever and only come to waist.

However the food was ok with lots of choice and different themes nightly. - in September 10
The restuarant was ok but the layout does need to be looked at, there was no order in the layout of the food and consequently you were looking for plates, the butter was not by the bread, the food cooked to order was outside and only one chef cooking it so there was usually a wait, the chips came out in small batches and went within minutes, at busy times difficult to find a table, food was ok but never really hot. - in August 10
The food is ok but better if you are German or from another country anywere bar England. - in July 10

: dragging seats at the terrace/restaurant in stead of raising or carrying them) Noise from dragging beds which were being made up above us at 7 AM Sometimes the staff takes your plate really to soon at the table Food very good: maybe some more alternation on different days Once a week ice cream was not much Wine in restaurant is very bad – wine at diner at harbour was very good (certainly not the same wine) The plastic cups at the bar are not bad and also not much choice at the bar To small and old shower curtain (impossible to shower without getting the whole bathroom wet) Very good beds! - in November 09
My partner and I met a couple who wanted to learn how to snorkel so for a brief lesson my partner took them in the pool which he said shocked him how dirty it was, plastic cups on the bottom, big balls of hair and just general waste paper, nice hey!

Stayed here for one week all inc and must admit the reviews are better than the actual hotel After landing it was an almighty cock up at the airport thomas cook passengers sent into one queue to pay more than the rest we were told it was to pay the reps wages in the airport Arrived at the hotel after midnight and got checked in quite quicky also given a voucher for a meal as the restaurant was closed basically we grabbed a bite and wnt to bed We had fruit and cake left in the room for us quite a nice touch but not very edible The room was spacious with a good sized bathroom and a fantastic view over the marina We did have a problem with the sinkplug which to solve the problem they took the plug out and said they would be back to fix it (Still waiting) The pool area was large and and busy but we tended to find a spot of the sandy part which was quieter then decided it was more chilled out at the du port side which you could always get a lounger The beach was a huge dissapointment and after 5 minutes there we left Dine around options what a nightmare there so intent of selling there own restaurant and wont inform you of the other restaurants on the marina which operate the dinearound Food one word DISGUSTING on the last morning we sat outside watching the birds actually sitting on the bread and picking away at it the staff did nothing to chase them out there needs to be something put into place to stop this happening I also couldnt believe they had anti bacterial handwash at the entrace to the restaurant yet had none in the toilets next to the bar in reception a couple of guests complained about this no hand wash no soap and the dryer didnt work but when the staff are using the toilets then serving drinks surely it should be top priority Staff where friendly enough but you always get the odd one whos over freindly theres only so many times they come behind you and tap you on the shoulder and meow like a cat once or twice you can cope with but when its repeatedly it does get on your nerves All in all it was the weathe that made this holiday i certainly wouldnt go back or recommend it

The pools are nice too, maybe a bit tight for a hotel this size and it's a pity that you don't actually see the ocean while lying there becuase the view is blocked by the wall and windows around it.

- very relaxing and comfortable pool

- in September 10
There was no atmosphere at the Du Port outside area in the evening and it was virtually impossible to get a drink, so we went back to the main hotel where everyone sits outside in the evening and there is more ambience.
