The Transamerica Corp Hilton hotel in Abuja is a large business hotel, very centrally located in Abuja. To the airport there are about 45 minutes. The hotel is already somewhat older but well maintained. The service is incredible, but several details do not (one day was the bathrobe in the bathroom, then none. To my knowledge it is the only considerable hotel in Abuja, it offers everything a hotel of this class should offer. Bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, there is security on each floor (not at all times). There are many international conferences in this hotel, and it is in general a very busy place. The lobby never sleeps. I can recommend the grill by the pool, the food there is generally very good. Otherwise there are not many places to go as far as I know. I arrived on the 0530 am BA flight, so I got to the hotel several hours before normal check in time - Note to travelers** they want you to reserve the night before you arrive so you can have a room as soon as you show up from the airport.
