Phangan Utopia Resort is located in the north of Koh Phangan Island between Mae Haad Beach and Chaloklum Bay. Situated on top of the hill at Haad Thong Lang Bay with a fantastic sea view on the gulf of Thailand. Here you are welcome to enjoy the peacefulness and harmony of this favorable resort.

Koh Phangan Utopia Resort has a wide selection of accommodation available; the cheapest are Utopa Standard Rooms, while at the other end of the scale are the concrete modern western luxury bungalows. All accommodation types come with air conditioning, hot water, minibar, shower or bathtub and some even with a jacuzzi, plus UBC cable TV and your personal DVD player.

Hotel location
Koh Pha-Ngan is situated in the Southern Gulf of Thailand, 80km from Suratthani, the mainland district centre. Surat Thani is one of the main transport hubs in the south of Thailand.

From here a host of destinations can be reached by boat, bus, train and even plane from Suratthani’s Airport; which is slightly cheaper to fly to and from than Koh Samui and is served by Thai Airways. The nearby Island of Koh Samui has an international airport that receives flights from all over Thailand and Asia. Koh Phangan is a 16km boat journey from Koh Samui with ferries all day.

There are numerous agents for the regions premiere short-haul airline, Bangkok Airways; who are the owners of Koh Samui Airport, the nearest to Ko Pangan, making around twenty return flights to Koh Samui from Bangkok everyday,

All buses and trains stop in Suratthani town centre, where you will be provided with a connecting bus to the appropriate ferry pier enabling you to continue your over-sea journey to Koh Phan-nghan, approximately three and a half hours away. The State Railway of Thailand operate an efficient rail service down from Bangkok to Surratthani and up from Had Yai in the deep south of Thailand. Overnight sleeper trains are the best way to go, with clean and secure carriages, waiter service and clean crisp bedding.

Koh Phangans famous FULL MOON PARTY.
In the mid-1980s, a group of tourists found that the best place to enjoy the full moon was a crescent-shaped beach on a small island off the coast of Thailand - Haad Rin Beach on Koh Phangan.

They held the first all-night party to appreciate the full moon. Since then the island has become one of South East Asia's biggest party spots. The fun begins as the moon makes its first appearance over the sea. Small tables are lined up in front of the bars on the beach, lit by lamps and burning torches. Many of the sound systems that have been setting up in the preceding days turn on their power and before long the beach has exploded into a dancing frenzy, with visiting international DJs taking their turn on the decks.
