Nice hotel area with spacious gardens and sunbed areas. three different pool areas (fun, relax, pool). Activity staff friendly but not intrusive. Different entertainment (aerobics, darts, water polo, and V. M.) staff very friendly and helpful; food and international menus. Food was very good, staff very good overall. Condition of the hotel (room 4212) very tired and run down. Management ignorant to the guest. Broken fridge after a week changed, safe during the whole holiday broken (low battery but two euro per day rent!!!), double charged the restaurant (staff to monitor> tends to fraud!! witnesses it therefor!!!) A lot of members of staff, though, make up with their positive attitude and their friendliness.
Presumably there is someone on duty 24/7. On the night of my arrival, though, I dialed 0 several times because I needed help but no one answered. Had my dialing 0 been an emergency, I would have been left alone with it.

wow, my holiday was breath taking from the minute it started, the voyager beach hotel is a place where i shall be visiting again, the people and staff were truly amazing, the food and drink was plentifull, you can eat almost 24hrs a day, the drinks were lovely, you was asked by staff frequently if you was ok and did you need anything, the thing is the voyager is based on a boat theme, each day, you dock, you may be in indian, so an evenings entertainment is based upon that theme,,, i toook part in karaoke and the quiz night, have to say i laughed so much i almost wet myself,,, the brits i met on holiday were top class,,, craig and lindsey from newcastle were really fun, pady and alexis from watford well i fell in love with them,,, lucky my animation team man was like a brother,,, i hugged him so much i think it hurt,,,,if u go to this hotel and dont have a super time well im sorry, but u must be ever so hard to please, first class ship mates, first class, and im looking for lil lewis jackson, from london,,,, cant find you on facebook dude,,,, if u see this and you know lewis please let him know im looking for himm,,,,, oh and safari you must book with jt safaris, julius, was aweosme, his staff were brilliant and my driver abdul was just a real gem,, sorry to julius i never met you after and went into mombasa, next time, as i will be back, kenya was by far the best holiday in my life and the atmosphere was good, all day long,,,, oh beware people on the beach claiming to be julius from jt safaris, they are not,,, julius has an office outside the voyager and if you ask at reception they will call for him, ashnil and kilagooni were super lodges, u gotta do a safari - in September 09

It is a african 4 star (huge differance to the carribian or american 4 star ,more their 3 star) I have been to kenya before and this was the best hotel i have stayed in, in AFRICA but not the best hotel i i ever stayed in ever, like some have said? i unlike many would not probably go back (unless i got a great bargain)this is mainly because i like to try new places and i have been in better hotels with beaches as good so dont understand why people go back year after year. - in November 09

My Husband and two friends have just returned home after a FANTASTIC stay at this lovely hotel We were absolutely overwhelmed with the staff in this hotel from top man right down to the gardeners everyone went out their way to make sure your stay was excellent and worry free before we went on safari they found out it was my 50th birthday and on our return we were upgraded to a superior room and I had fresh flowers in it too we were also invited to the Captains table for dinner which was excellent altho it wasnt the captain it was the commander and he was an excellent host. - in May 10

after months of reading trip advisor reviews of the voyager hotel i finally went in september was very happy with hotel from the moment i got to the reception paid extra for superior sea view room pehaps i was lucky but the room we got was fantastic top floor overlooking infinity pool then the sea palm trees 180 degree view room 4315 in my opinion could not be better food you are spoilt for choice you wont find more friendly staff anywhere entertainment is quite varied during day vollyball beach football pool dancing etc etc evening is varied shows by animation team dancing karoke animation team work hard to put on shows and they are very good but not to everyones taste went to mombassa for morning . - in August 10

Just returned 22 December, from two weeks at the Voyager,The place is well kept and all they seem to do is clean,which is good and the garden and grounds are kept in fantastic condition,The rooms are ok a little dated but we dident spend much time in there so it was fit for purpose,the only thing we dident like and we were not the only ones was the food it is very repetitive and at times we found it hard to have a resonable meal,the best meal of the day for us was breakfast and on some occasions we did not go for dinner,but the Italian is good,but at the end of the day it is plenty full and it must be hard for them to cater for all the different people from all diffrent countries so if you look at it like that its good,the staff are fantastic allways say hello (Jambo)and are very good at remembring your names,The dress code for the main resturant is not by any strech of the imagination enforced people with beach shorts,t shirts etc but most of us made an effort,there was one very rude and arrogant Fellow brit who was rude and very abusive to the staff and he came to every Meal in bare feet but he was allowed to do it and not one menber of staff ever told him,the dress code in the Italian is enforced to a certian degree,Sun Beds are taken very early at the adult pool as some people pay the pool boys to but towels etc on there chosen beds but there is enough to go around,the beach boys are ok,I said I was from Russia and did not speak english but they knew I wasent then they called me the Russian english man which was good banter with them. - in October 09

Neither did we appreciate being constantly hassled by traders on the beach. It was impossible to walk across the beach to get ino the sea, let alone go for a walk along the beach, because of people trying to sell us safaris, dolphin tours and, of course, numerous wooden carvings of giraffes, elephants etc.
