The hotel in general
The hotel Wedina consists of four buildings in the colors red, blue, yellow and green. With a total of 59 rooms each offers you a very special atmosphere. The four buildings are located in a quiet residential street between the central station “Hauptbahnhof“, the Aussenalster lake and the popular street “Lange Reihe”, which is one of Hamburg’s most beautiful old city streets. Here you find a variety of restaurants and stores, and it is just around the corner, of the Wedina.
The picturesque Aussenalster Lake is close by, where you can go jogging or take relaxing walk.
The city is only 10-15 minutes walking distance away.
In the vicinity of the hotel there is a diverse selection of leisure activities such as a boat rental on the Alster, a fitness studio, an indoor swimming pool as well as several museums and theaters.
Gastronomy in the hotel
The rich and fresh breakfast buffet is served every day from 06:30 – 11:00 a.m. In summer you can enjoy your breakfast in the idyllic hotel garden.

The standard rooms are in the red house.
The red house is the main house and therefore the heart of the hotel Wedina.
Here are the reception, the breakfast room, the house library with signed books and the garden.
The rooms are held in the style of the 80´s, no room resembles the other.
The modern, urban room style and the studios are located in the blue, yellow or green house.
In the blue house, our literature house, every room is dedicated to an author. Simple, clear lines, minimalist.
The yellow house from the turn of the century is held in a mediterranean style, with walnut and teracotta floors.
The green house is dedicated to the modern architecture. Here glass, wood and exposed concrete join to a unique clear design.

Great, very quiet city hotel with Charme: From here you can reach all the main hot spots of the city on foot. The Alster is hundred meters away.

We were the first time in Hamburg and having regard to the recommendation from the hotel wedina is located.
Our apartment room 311-in the green house, is divided on three levels. A nice little kitchenette, which we didn't use it, a small living area and bathroom or bedroom above. As mentioned in a previous review mentioned, there is also in the green house no elevator for heavy luggage it might be, the suitcases over the stairs to drag. The studio is absolutely sufficient for two people-I could imagine for a longer stay.
