Hotel Zum Alpbach

The hotel has a very good location ( lateral road the main street) and is also otherwise good. The rooms are nothing special, but sufficient large and very clean. The cable easily reachable on foot. The restaurant is, if very expensive, but also very good. In general it is in Meiringen very quiet. One has almost no possibility, after eating still going anywhere. Thanks to a good price through a special offer, with the the children in their Schulskiferien were free (!), we have 5 days in Alpbach and after Austria establishments ☺. The value for money we felt very good, and all became served in a friendly manner. In today's competition and with the strong Franc it is surely right, so quality with a reputation to develop. the hotel has a manageable size-no large 'hotelkasten' -the guest is more than just a anonymous' number '. Lovingly and with good taste decorated premises create a pleasant ambience. the superior rooms are bright, friendly and spacious, equipped with flat-screen TV and safe. On our Alpavia tour (hiking with organised luggage) we spent one night in the hotel Alpach in Meiringen. The hotel is located in a quiet street of the historic village. Our room was a decent three star standard: rather small, but clean, fairly well equipped. Nice and comfortable the breakfast room and the lounge so. The 5-course dinner was delicious! The wine list was attractive, the service was very nice. Our conclusion: longer holidays we would not in Alpbach, but food go! The price/performance ratio I couldn't judge, since I got the trip.
