The hotel in general
This red fronted eighteenth-century mansion stands on the outskirts of Yaiza, between the airport and the Timanfaya National Park, and is surrounded by gardens which have sprouted from the ash of the 1720 volcanic eruption. In this unbroken landscape of black earth the Finca las Salinas provides spacious airy rooms, cleansed by the warm transparent breeze — la panza del burro (thick cloud cover) permitting. The house used to be owned by Don Jaime Lleó, a pharmacist by trade, but whose business activities included the export of salt as he was the owner of the Janubio salt lakes, a nature reserve where Atlantic sea salt is still collected by hand. This graceful ochre and white period property has a romantic path leading through exotic trees and its interior décor is the perfect balance of well preserved antiques and design pieces. It is a source of pleasure to discover rooms in the hotel with views looking out over the rivers of solidified lava flows in the surrounding areas. The bedrooms, which were once used as stables, have been carefully restored by the architect Ángel García Puertas.

Where are the only the four stars, in the dertour sunstar promises? The hotel is in the years come. The room are extremely small and have no windows! The only natural light through the windows of the entrance to the small dusty in the room.
Dust everywhere in the room it, above all under the bed. But also on all the other pieces of furniture in the room was each day the dust.
