... in a good location without becoming poor. that's what we got. Ibis is a good name, you also have nothing to be ashamed of. down under George street with the qvb, Hyde park and much more, is under ten minutes walking distance, also the landmark Sydney's we are within walking distance without forced hike.HCLFHLRoom was good and two single beds in the desire to get you. Staff was very friendly and helpful (had a short-circuit) .The hotel is not new anymore, it shows, but is not bad, I would book it again!... Read more

The hotel is located right on the world square in Sydney. A metro station is about a five-minute walk away. The rooms are quite small, but spacious and well equipped. The bathroom is also kept rather small, but functional. There was nothing to complain about the room cleaning. Fresh towels were always available in abundance, as well as extra pillows. The hotel is the ideal starting point for a city trip, all relevant sights between the world square and the harbor (circular quay) are. Also toward Chinatown (with many cheap shopping) it was on... The hotel with its location was top-just opposite the world square and to the darling harbor is 20 minutes away. This is however the only good thing. The rooms were dirty and mouldy glazed (partly missing the wallpaper in Tellergroßen pieces), the floor was a only dirt and fluff all over them fundgrube. The windows were so dirty you couldn't even look out... so what we have never seen anything like it!
In the bathroom were silverfishes and shower and soap dispensers were half torn off. From the mold in the joints I didn't want to start.

The room are not very large and clean. It wasn't very noisy (we were on the eight floor), even though the hotel was fully booked due to a sporting events. The rooms are modern and functional furnished.
The location of the hotel is across the street from a shopping centers and the train station
from Sydney is about 5-7 Miuten footpath far away. Tip: train ride to the blue mountains, very convenient all day trip. Read more

As already said, the hotel is centrally located. The sights (Harbour bridge, opera house, darling harbour, etc.) can all be reached on foot from the hotel.
In the area there were supermarkets and for the evening entertainment are enough bars available.
The room was very small (especially the bathroom). But I think that is normal if you living in a hotel, which is in the middle of the city.
I was very pleased with this hotel, of course there are potential to the top, but on the whole it is okay. Read more
