A wonderful resort, very friendly and helpful staff and very good food. There is nothing, what one could criticize. We felt very comfortable. Many thanks to the whole team PS:we had in our family room even a sauna and a steam room, although not booked. At the sauna oven the switch but it seemed to have a loose; would have needed in be repaired (room 769). We are during the vacation not have been, the staff to be communicated. Very nice hotel, culinary hard to beat. Only limited possibilities were (either in the sand along the beach or along the road). Because of the partially less attractive location of standard rooms it is worthwhile booking room with ocean view! Read more

Hotel facility: a harmonious hotel area in the form of an exchange of Cretan village. Of the very successful. The dining room seemed to be less appealing (train station atmosphere). Rooms: our room was negative to complain about: the very narrow bed (about a, 50 meters) and the insufficient shower attachment (not sealed, water runs automatically by the edge of the bathtub in the bathroom home and is under water). We spent the third week in October ikaros. Despite the imminent conclusion were all the bars and restaurants still open, only the evening entertainment was not possible because of the weather. The kids disco was held in a small part of the front desk. Our room (Deluxe bungalow) was very large, one double bed and two single beds, direct access to the sharing pool. As far as location is concerned, we wouldn't recommend spending much time exploring the Malia nearby (unless you want to see loads of English pubs, pint specials, and loud music on the beaches), but the hotel was well situated for exploring the Eastern part of Crete, and is roughly an hour or so's drive to Aghios Nikolaos, and easy access to the Lassithi Plateau, which is well worth seeing.

We loved the entire hotel complex and it's private beach is beautiful, and is immaculately kept and guarded by their beach staff, and is easily the nicest stretch of beach in Malia.

By contrast, the htoel beach at the Ikaros Village Hotel & Spa is clean, sandy, with a long, shallow slope into the sea, is sheltered, is easy to find sun loungers, and was just bliss.
