We were over the weekend from Friday to Sunday at the intercontinental in Berchtesgaden. We had a standard room to the inner courtyard, absolutely enough, you can see from the balcony/ bed also the mountains - provided the weather fits. Tastefully decorated, underfloor heating in the bathroom, absolute downside: in the five star hotel no free internet available - is today standard and the amount it must simply be included

The room was very worn in spite of the short 'lifetime' of the hotel. Clear traces of usage on the furniture, for instance. The bathroom sliding door was crooked and didn't shut properly, there was a hole in the shower wall (about 6 x 3 meters) through which the iron rusted and left unsightly marks on the wall.
In the outdoor area of the pool some lightly coloured tiles were missing, which looked unpleasant. Read more

Great hotel in history rich location. The building was only rarely visited. Guests too many older, 60 and more. Room had on the second floor with super view of the mountains. Very successful the spa area. I can recommend the outdoor swimming pool in night. The room was clean and large. The prices are in the upper level, 240 plus. Breakfast for a hotel of this class very good, but not unusual. Location nearby at Salzburg. Without a car there you are however lost. For wellness and relaxation very nice. Read more

the building is wonderful at the Obersalzberg, surrounded by an unbelievably beautiful forestand mountain landscape. Very nice Lobby: a large hall with front desk (no classic desk, but creme Ledersitze at large tables, very nice idea), a small Library, a bar and a comfortable Fireplace. This was my second stay in intercontinental Berchtesgaden and again I was completely thrilled. Large Pros of the hotel are the very beautiful and large rooms (in my case with fireplace), the glorious bathroom and the beautiful wellness area. The large Difference between a good and a excellent hotel however the staff from. And here are the biggest asset of the hotel: very polite, a natural smile and charming hospitality make the stay an experience. Read more
