Only small improvements. It is one of the 'tsunami' hotel, the former Sofitel, in the 186 people lost their lives. In view of the destruction the hotel is in a superb condition. The hotel lies right next to beach and is located in good condition. The large complex is well maintained and gardens, beach and pool are in great condition. The complex is quite extensive and from the giant pool dominates. The restaurants are quite tidy( the breakfast perfect) but in the evening too expensive. The complex is very well maintained. The beach very long and nice. The chairs are directly at the beach. The service at the beach very good. The pool is a dream. You can from the room directly at the pool. There was 2 time in Bali in Laguna hotel. The food is very good. The hotel is somewhat off the beaten track. We have a car from Flugkafen Phuket. To Phang Gha about 75 kilometer; then to the James Bond rock the boat about 2 hours there and back for 1200. Kao Sok NP approximately 50 kilometer. Very good Ausganpunkt to the similan. Read more

Great hotel, with a massive pool area. Such a selection for breakfast I had never been. The fresh smoothies were a dream. You can book excursions in the hotel. Very competent advice. If it came back to Khao Lak is, then here in. Taxi costs 300 BHT to the small town, shuttle bus of the hotel pP 100 BHT. Food in the town around the 500 BHT for 2 inclusive drinks. In the hotel quite expensive (for Thailand) Read more
