The 'Youth hostel' is an alternative to a hotel in Cologne to choose. As a member of the djh we stayed for a night with breakfast 50.80 euro. It is also cheaper deals, but then over several days. The 2003 built hostel in Cologne-Deutz with its 509 beds for a short stay always good and very good value for money. The room was spartan furnished (no tv), but toilet and bathroom were separated. Cleanliness in the hotel was good-the staff are friendly and efficient. Distance to the station Deutz (last stop before the Cologne central station) 200 meters only. The hostel is the standards of the JHBs, looks very modern.
