We travelled to Hamburg for our annual football team tour and the Kastanien hotel was perfect for our needs. Location and setting of the hostels are really top, almost direct next to the reeperbahn! Also the cleanliness the room was satisfactory. however had our room not a bit of ' brothel-charm' to offer, which the pictures on the website of the hostels suggest. We were disappointed! Instead, we were in an annex ausquatiert, the waiter our room had. the size of the room was good! However were the beds not really comfortably and those sensitive to noise people could the at night listening suburban train, the whole room to vibrate executeth, deter! ... Read more

We have the hotel over new Year's Eve 2010/2011 chestnut visited. As the main building kastanienallee was already occupied in, we were given a room in the second house in the area (300 meters away) street. the room was in a clean condition with mismatced furnishings of the last few decades and three beds (1 two floors and a separate bed). Refrigerator and tv (with indoor antenna) available. A common kitchen is also available on the floor. No safe available.
