... or to Leidse plein. We were surprised to be somehow, but is still in a quiet and tranquil. Close to some names of famous people in the immediate vicinity which here again or at least one home. The hotel is located 2-3 minutes to walk from the Leidse Square, in by many restaurants and bars. In addition starts out one of the main shopping streets. The "Tulpenmarkt" and the main shopping street about a 10 minute walk. Museums are after 5-10 mins walk away, there are also two boat launch Canal cruises nearby. On the Leidse Square many trams in all directions. But since one in Amsterdam everything within walking distance, we didn't make use of this. The hotel is not very far away from the Leidse Square and is a good base for a city-trip, actually, because there are lots of restaurants, as well as a good transport links to the surrounding area. When checking in a little later, the room was clean, looked comfortable and was nice, besides it being a little small but this did not bother me and my partner as it was rather cosy :o) We were a little way out but it was a lovely walk in (around 15 minutes to Dam Square)through shops and canals, trams ran litterally every minute to Dam square and there are plently of lovely pubs and restaurants to stop at on the way & don't forget the bakeries they are so lush you just want to eat everything!

The bed was terrible, I sunk through the middle of it and had springs pointing into my back, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the hotel.
