Hotel is located between the railway station Interlaken West and East. Train noise from time to time factor. I booked a single room. Was not spacious. Tv (CRT screen!) did not work. After complaining to front desk I had to call 30 minutes later, until finally someone came. More than one outlet didn't work. Breakfast was mass processing, hardly sufficient seat possibilities. The hotel has a lovely exterior facade, a nice location and nice common amenities (restaurant, pool, fitness center), however, the rooms at $450 (US) were considerably over-priced in that they were very quite bland with older, dirty-feeling furniture.

Dirty, tired, old, worn/ripped/dirty carpets in common areas, no no service/doorman/bellman help, lousy buffet, broken drapes, First class room (low floor, compromised view of roof, gas station and mountains was small and dirty) wasn't 1st Class, noisy unruly kids and guests and no service in breakfast buffet.

Arriving in Interlaken just before noon, we where surprised by the reaction of the receptionist; we almost felt guilty to leave our luggage there, since we didn't wane take it with us to the mountains and the room was not ready, not like we would have asked for one or had the expectation.
