    Old world style. you felt like you drifted back in time. Everything was very modern but it had that "grand hotel" appearance. We got a suite which was lovely. The terrace was huge holding three chaise lounges, a table set for four and numerous plants. Very friendly service-Knowledgeable too! We had a couple of minor issues taken care of immediately. Here's a tip-if you're coming to hike, do as we did. Put aside two or three days after hiking and stay at this hotel just to veg out and enjoy the place without running around. Everthin...     VERY NICE AND CLEAN HOTEL WITH VERY FRIENDLY ENGLISH SPEAKING STAFF. GOOD SIZE ROOMS AND THE DECO WAS VERY GOOD SIZE OF ROOM VERY GOOD, ROOM LOCATION EXCELLENT. WE COULD SEE THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW FROM EVERYWHERE IN THE ROOM. EVEN FROM THE WASHROOM. THERE WAS NO NOISE IN THE ROOM.     Traditional and beautifully maintained except exterior which needs an uplift We had a room with a balcony facing the mountains. Outside street did not disturb us. I simply do not understand the negative reviews about this. We had excellent, friendly and personalised service from all staff.     Though rated as 5star hotel, I felt it is rather 4star. The equipment of the room was rather old fashioned and not really up to 5star quality. Staff however is very friendly and bfst buffet good. Location is good, close to train station. However, when you have luggage you have to take a taxi and they rip you off. For a short journey of about 800m they charge you CHF 12.- which is the minimum charge within Interlaken.
