Basecamp Andermatt is a shiny new option for mountain sports enthusiasts, with space for about 25 guests. Guests prepare their own meals in a communal kitchen, with outdoor barbeque an occasional option. The kitchen has top quality stoves, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerators. The collection of pots and pans, including woks, large soup pots, fondue pots, allow for a wide variety of meals, and many guests seem to be superb chefs. Most of the guests are Europeans. Lodge is lataley renewed, clean and we feel realy welcome. Noise and atmosphere is created by visitors it self thus is nice and positive to have conversation with others. Architecture is well connected with Swis alps and sourounding. I like the Basecam ! Pretty much in wood, clean and I wa surprised on well sound insulation. Of course youe need to accept sleeping with 2-3 more persons in the room. As Basecamp is a hostel all cooking was done by ourself. However kitchen is well equiped. super Freeride and Tourengebiet. The hut in dream area about Andermatt, no houses around. 5 minutes into the village to buy. Sun shines powder gives it also. Open fireplace, sauna and Wi-Fi in the house, what more could you want. Read more
