Hair various art in the bathroom, rust on the taps and after a complaint at the front desk no response and help. A broken elevator on arrival, rather unfriendly staff at the front desk. All of this is unworthy of a hotel of this category! Sausage and cheese on the breakfast buffet were old (dark edges, the corners of the slices of cheese have dried upturned and on the second day the selbsen!). We chose the Mercure, because in the past we always were satisfied, in Duisburg is some improvements but due. The air conditioning could not be turned off, at the front desk asked is this centrally controlled, great if you are allergic to these things. The bathroom resembles a Dixiklo, everything is made of plastic and in the shower head very little water, shower is not so easy. Very positive we noticed:
Friendliness of the staff (front desk with restriction)
Ambience in the restaurant and in the bar, and taste of the dishes
-General cleanliness
-Very easy accessibility from shopping and Kulinaritäten
Easy negative was:
-An elevator for about 170 guests (sometimes long waiting times), as the staff with linen, and cleaning is used
All in all a great place to stay in Duisburg-mid, we will be there on our next Duisburg-visit certainly stay here again. It was mainly visited by business people and families. Read more

We stayed for several years in this hotel.
The rooms are well appointed, the beds are great!
Cleanliness is OK
The breakfast (at least 16 euro/person) a constant, the choice is becoming a smaller place-for example, there was at the beginning of the year small meatballs, salmon, pancakes and expansion-it wasn't offered.

This hotel offers a standard double room offers the comforts for a short get away. The room was big enough and clean. The bed wasn't worn out, but quite comfortable. Only sadly a bit too short. The bathroom was also clean, simple but very, very small.
Overall the hotel made a friendly impression from the inside.
Parking costs four euro per night. eight euros.
