Hotel Olympia is a contemporary pleasing hotel with intellectual design, right in the heart of Thessaloniki, housed in a historic building that belongs to the same family since 1932. After the latest refurbishment and reconstruction, in 2007, Hotel Olympia has become a boutique hotel with minimal architecture. Its ninety-seven friendly rooms (including nine executive rooms, one room for the disabled and one suite) which overlook at the Roman Ancient Market all share the pop chair Mademoiselle by Phillip Starck and several other design features like Satellite LCD TVs, parquet flooring etc. Campari Bar inspired by Ingo Maurer’s gadget hanging light and the lounge restaurant combine two philosophies: extreme functionality with high-tech innovative furnishing and the warmth of natural materials such as marble and wood. The furniture by Living (Piero Lissoni design) and the atmospheric lighting by Artemide all create the relaxed-chic decoration not only in the Hotel’s lobby, but also in the fully equipped conference hall ideal for seminars and special events.

The only "problem" that I could notice is that one room, twin interior room had really small bathroom, which may be a be a problem for someone who is tall, but other rooms were perfect, with twice bigger bathrooms. - in April 10

Central location was not a problem, as it is in a small side street, so it was not noisy, and because it has great cozy beds I slept like at home :) I stayed there for two nights, in December and in January, and since I was with friends I have seen a total of 4 rooms, which were all great. - in November 09

There are small cafe bars near the hotel but they were not noisy - we actually had an ouzo in one of them (small bottle) with snacks and hubby had a hotdog - we paid 6 euro for the lot which was a nice welcome change to the harbour cafeterias which charge 5 euro for a small draft beer!
