In March 2012 we were up 14 days at the palm royal/Soma Bay (formerly hotel continental ). This hotel is very comfortable and has a very nice clean and spacious outdoor area. The furnishing the lobby and the hallways of the hotel is exceptional and one can there much time spend, the furniture/ pictures see. a wonderful hotel,the welcome starts as you walk into the amazing lobby.there are amazing artifacts throughout the hotel.the rooms are immaculate and impressive the service throughout the hotel is 2nd to none.the food is top quality.in all restaurants.the overall ambience of the hotel is superb.the beach is beautiful,plenty of sunbeds both here and the pool areas.highly recommend for a quality holiday.

The spot for kite surfers and wind surfers is Peter Müller because of of the massive area Standing dreamlike. Without it better to know, I can hardly a better Kite spot for beginner imagine the Soma Bay surf spot motion (Caribbean and big Dayz I did not like great the spot was).

although its a very luxurious hotel,with an amaaaaazing lobby decoration, it has so many disadvantages;on our 1st day we waited for more than an hour and half to find us a room although our reservation was booked a month ago, its located so far away in the desert away from any entertainment and shopping malls and city of hurghada , it has a service of a 3 stars hotels , the food was average , the menu remained the same for almost 4 consequent days, the toilets in the lobby have a bad smell and are not well cleaned, the hotel rooms although looks amazing , they r not well cleaned , the dust was everywhere on the floor and the balcony , i found a gecko in my room and they told me its ok cuz we r in the desert and i waited for half an hour till room service came.
