Everything was great and it was a great holiday. There were not so many people at the beginning of the week and more came in later. We were spoiled with so few people. We were there twice and I can only rate it highly. If you don't want to eat in the main restaurant, there were four others in the area with particular specialties. But for snorkeling and diving, it is not great, as you need to travel far out on a boat. For a pure beach holiday, I can only recommend it. Read more

A very relaxing beach holiday in a well kept oasis. If you want to explore the surrounding area, you need a taxi or rental car. Our complaints were taken very seriously and treated in a very cooperative manner. All in all, the vacation exceeded our expectations. Read more

For the umpteenth time we were already guests in the hotel. Modification has deteriorated after the service. Since we go diving and surfers the Royal palm resort perfect for us. All the staff at the hotel are very friendly and the food is very good. Especially to be highlighted is the pizzeria. The pizza is almost as good, as is the case in Italy. As perfect water sport conditions prevail, we were not on the beach. But also here you will always find a quiet corner, since it is very spread out. The best but, as ever, the service is in the bar... Read more

The entrance foyer is very impressive with a good bar and the beach is excellent. - in December 09
This hotel misses a good bar with resonable prices as there is no local nightlife where you can spend the evening. - in October 09
We're used to staying in boutique type hotels, organising it ourselves, doing lots of trips, going to a nearby authentic village/town and having meals in nice retaurants and having a beer or two afterwards in a good bar.

We got a good deal sub a grand for both of us and we read some reviews which were mixed but got reliable recommendations from a few people we know who have been here and a work colleagues friend works for Mark Warner and she has been to Amu Soma a couple of times so we thought it must be pretty good.

Go to the other restaurants on site - the Italian is ok but inside, the Greek one is near the beach and sit outside - food is very good indeed - the hotel is half owned by a Greek chap so I think this is why.
