In general the hotel is recommendable nonetheless. Still I have to complain about, that it for 4 stars not in my opinion enough. But are the rooms too small, especially in respect to the price.
The rainers has another hotel in Vienna, in its chain, however it is different. This is also only 3 star and has however the same standards. Read more

This hotel is for city break as good as perfect.
Before, we were not yet in Vienna and the weather we invited the whole day for sightseeing, this very nice city to use. That is to say in relation to the hotel was mostly the room, the breakfast and the traffic connections important. Everything other for us was rather secondary.
Our small room with the accompanying bathroom were lovingly and modern decorated and always very clean.
The breakfast is extensive and tasty. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The Rainers hotel lies on the edge the Viennese center, by a bus station on the doorstep one is in 5 minutes in the center. The employees are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is quite plentiful, but if you like a little later breakfast must expect that some of the food already gone. The room is very modern furnished and cleaned daily, the bathroom is also very modern and very clean. The tv in the room works well and has many German speaking channels.

There was no free internet available in the room but they had 2 Mac's in the reception area which were almost always available to check e-mail quickly and even to check in for my flight and print my boarding passes.

It was even harder to navigate our way back from the city centre to the hotel as we had to take a tram from the city centre (with a lot of help from the locals), then change to the subway, followed by a walk in a dark and dodgy neighbourhood.
