An exellent hotel, and helpful staff who bend over backwards to help. The catering manager couldn't do enough and if you are polite to the staff (as you should be anyway) it will be reciprocated 10 fold.
You want a drink or an ashtray, go and sit down you are told and it is brought to your table.
Once you get to know the restauraunt staff you will be unofficially reserved a table as they can be hard to find.

Do not pay more than £6-7 for taxi to Naama Bay- taxi drivers do try to rip off but if you stand firm they will give you a good price. - in August 10

the hotel is lovely to look at and the staff faultless but the resturant is like an animal frenzie the tables were filthy and not set for the next dinners you have to chase a waiter to find a knife and fork and the food was cold half of the time for this reason and this reason only i would not revisit this hotel and suggest reading reviews first but it has not put me off to try a different hotel in another area - in February 10
On the whole , ignoring the food and the Russians, the hotel is lovely, i just about managed to sustain myself during the day, by visting the beach bar-b -q at lunch time which was better and then on the night's we ate at the hotel, eating by entire body weight in soup, we ate out in Naama Bay on three occasions, which was much better.

First of all, the staff is not helpful, they speak little english, they wait for tips all the time (the ones who clean the rooms), music is quite loud during the night, you have to pay for the botteled water in the room and the food is quite poor.

well yes after reading the reveiws here we where quite worried before travel,however was not at all that bad,people said hotel was awful no its not we have been in better but remember it is egypt,all that matters to me is good food cleanliness etc,and thats what we received here,the staff are absolutely great very friendly very attentitive and no they are not after your tips,we tipped after 2nd day then on leaving if you get good service then you tip and we got excellent service,our only issue was going out at evening this was quite hair raising in naama bay,the guys mither you to death BAD,not happy shopping at all,to be honest not a shopping holiday more so relaxing because the weather is so hot most days 45"degs to hot to do anything only sit in lovely pools,and go swimming/snorkeling,the beach is fantastic easy access to sea for snorkeling and the best fish in the world here,our son loved it could never get him out of sea,take a boat trip to ras mamhood park wow what a day we had,lunch swimming snorkeling all for £35 fannntassticcc. - in December 09

80% Russian, 15% Egyptian and the rest a mix of British, Italians etc, the Russians are the majority, i therefore feel that i can comment on a large cross section of their population when i say that they are the most Rude, Arrogant and frankly the most dour people it has ever been my misfortune to come across, they push in, they basically abuse the staff, they have no manners and they are normally drunk by midday , the swan around like they own the place and even though some of the women are absolutely stunning i dont think i saw one of them smile , it actually got to the point where i was hoping once again for the rise of communism and the reactivation of the cold war! - in August 10
Now i have to mention the Russians- yes they are rude and have no manners, but they dont really bother you- you'll know who they are as they'll be posing for pics in the most awkward of places :) The Epyptians love the British and can't do enough for you.

This is the perfect place to go for a total chill out - you don't have to leave the hotel there are pools, waterslides, the glorious snorkelling off the pier, excellent food, attentive staff and best of all wall to wall sunshine!
