    I have stayed at the White horse 3 times and even spent my honeymoon here. I will be returning for a full week in Jan 2010. It is a wonderful friendly hotel with Class. I cannot believe there is anything more invigorating or even fun than the pool and now whirlpool in the lake, it is truly sensational. On my first visit Mrs Peter welcomed us personally. On my honeymoon they even left a gift for us in our room. I cant speak highly enough of this hotel. The food is top class and the head waiter Herr Fred is a most attentive gentleman. Champagn...     In the Salzkammergut, 45 minutes drive to the east of Salzburg, is to be found a real gem of an hotel set in an idyllic location - the Im Weissen Rossl, or White Horse Inn, made famous by the operetta of that name by Ralph Benatsky in the 1930's. The hotel also appears in a subsequent movie of the operetta. The location of the hotel, overlooking Lake Wolfgangsee and surrounded by mountain scenery, is truly magnificent.
