Our SPA & Wellness Resort “Romantischer Winkel” is a family run 5-star SPA with 30 years of tradition. All 80 rooms (including the 5 suites) in five connected wings are lovingly furnished with individual charm. Single travellers, couples, and families feel equally welcome in the exquisite, yet homely ambiance. Every day our youngest guests are lovingly and professionally looked after in our Kids & Teens Club.

Situated at Bad Sachsa’s town lake “Schmelzteich” the SPA & Wellness Resort “Romantischer Winkel” nestles idyllically to the southern Harz mountains and thus represents itself as the perfect starting point for long walks, hiking, and mountain bike tours in one of Germany’s most picturesque areas. Three kilometers from the train station and only 700 meters from the town center shopping facilities are also easy to reach.
The legendary Brocken, highest mountain in northern Germany, you can reach by car and the Brockenbahn (mountain railway) in about 1 ½ hours. Quedlinburg, whose medieval old town was set on the UNESCO world heritage list in 1994, is 70 kilometers away. The ruins of Walkenried Abbey in Walkenried (7 kilometers away), the stalactite caves in Bad Grund (45 km away), and Wernigerode Castle (48 km away) are also worth seeing.

Our staff are consistently trained and their competences enlarged to ensure the highest level of service for our guests. Apart from treating our guest friendly and obliging this includes a shuttle service from and to the railway station, laundry and ironing service, child care in the Kids & Teens Club, on request babysitting in the hotel room, and room service (partly with extra charge). Furthermore included in the room prices is the RoWi supplementary bonus which means the utilization of the bath & sauna world, participation in the Fit & Fun Program (aqua gynastics, Nordic walking, back fit, sauna night, guided hikes, trips, and evening entertainment such as fashion shows, casino nights, and much more), homemade soup for lunch, sheet cake with tea and coffee in the afternoon, and non-alcoholic beverages and fresh fruit all day.
Gastronomy in the hotel
In our five restaurant areas the guest is pampered with a great champagne breakfast buffet in the morning and different culinary highlights in several courses in the evening. Ever and again our kitchen surprises with differently themed specialty nights with variation of the gourmet-kitchen with appetizer-, raw vegetables-, and dessert-buffets. Also the guest can dine à la carte, of course. In the afternoon we serve coffee and cake in the restaurants and in the hotel bar you can wind down with a cocktail.

We were for the first time in the 'romantic angle' in bad Sachsa; it is for certain not for the last time have been; my wife and I in this beautiful atmosphere, this great and kind service as' the Seel danglin ' leave; it was pure relaxation; additionally there are really great simple or something difficult hiking Trails directly in front of the Schmelzteich or in front of the hotel; the relaxing vacation was just 'really super'! Since many years we are seeing quarterly a friends day in bad Sachsa, in the ROWI anytime again as a wonderful Glücksmoment, so yesterday on Friday, the 23 March 2012.
Our wishes are already at the order at the telephone and have always fulfilled, then only in the cozy bathrobe and the day belongs to us completely alone.
