The hotel in general
Garraf is a region bursting with character and is home to sparse vegetation, pine forests and biblical Mediterranean produce: almonds, olives, carob, and cereals. The village of Sant Pere de Ribes almost touches the coast and is a stone’s throw from Sitges. The Ostería Ibai combines modern features and the original charm of the old farmhouse. It stands on the bank of a dry stream bed which circles the village to the west and is set among a picturesque, organic allotment and gardens complete with a swimming pool. A treat for our bodies comes in the shape of Hästens beds in the rooms, which were previously unheard of in Spain. This first hotel belonging to the Sagardi Group bears the soul of a company entrenched in the world of fine food. It is not surprising that they are behind the menu at the famous Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona. Rosanna Espachs, the Hotel Manager, also spends her free time researching into dozens of varieties of fruit and plant liqueurs.
