Very beautiful beach location, no private beach so you can get hassled by the locals (despite security). Restaurant and bar very good, with quick service. The holiday however consists of more than just food. The reception staff were all very nice apart from 1 who insulted me in Arabic (my friend understands Arabic), despite an apology from the front desk staff, I found it very mean. Have been coming here for about 15 years, and will keep coming here, with great pleasure. The staff have hardly changed and are all friendly and helpful. Good hotel for rest and relaxation. Entertainment program was perfectly adequate. Top location, good facilities, beautiful garden with a super pool. The room: night table lamps can be noisy and the mattresses on the beds can be very hard. I usually travel there along and I felt safe and not harassed, which in other hotels is often not the case. Stayed for 1 week in November for a short stay in Djerba. 20-22°C temperatures in the autumn, pool was protected from the wind via a wall. Breakfast on the terrace with a view of the sea, only 30 meters away from the beach. Despite the main buffet, the main dishes were always prepared freshly. Always delicious! Our predictions of the hotel and the beach have been more than satisfied. Beach as far as the eye can see. The food was so varied and tasted as good as in a few all-inclusive hotels. Whoever wants sun in November and likes to hike on the beach or Excelsior is well cared for here. The staff were nice and friendly only, in the dining room was a little baksheesh appropriate. A nicely located hotel (right on the beach), with the best food that we have had so far. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only suitable for a beach holiday as there is not much else to do in terms of sightseeing shopping options. Read more
