The hotel is part of a gay restaurant in Pankow. The location is quite convenient, not far away from the U-and S-Bahn. In the road are many restaurants and bars, in the proximity are also a movie theater, and many shops. The room itself was quite quiet backyard. The size of the room was pleasant, however, there was no closet, but more like a small shelf. The bathroom was very small, but functional. we were too fifth for a concert in Berlin and loved this hotel. The rooms were simple but big and the natural stone wall something special.
the breakfast was very varied there, some three Star Hotels and resorts. Learn a lot with this staff will never boring as there is always a pert saying that one has something to laugh.
the price/performance ratio is very good.
and for us it's confirmed if we go back to Berlin then make a tour in this hotel. Read more

Some days, there is everything wrong. Those days welcomed "schall Und Rauch"! A cheap hotel in good Szenelage in Berlin, with nice pictures on the internet, stops unfortunately not what they promise. From the promise of rooms only two or three fill up quickly. The rest of the rooms are sometimes rear building on the ground floor with a direct view ( and smell) of the garbage cans. Lovely place to stay in Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg. Excellent transport links. Area information with an array of pubs, restaurants - very good scene. 3 Minutes walk from the Max-Schmeling -Halle. Room was clean - breakfast fabulous. Now the lackluster things: I had a single room with bath, shower and toilet booked and paid for. I had a room with a bath/WC and shower in the corridor! Schall & Rauch is a nice Boutique Hotel right in prenzlauer Berg. Especially to be highlighted is the breakfast buffet, in the morning, is right next door to build public coffee. So in the morning you can see this area of Berlin. Read more
