We stayed 2 nights and were overall satisfied. You get what you expect nothing too fancy but no siginificant complaints. The drinks at the hotel bar are ok, the food during the really highly recommended Maori culture-show was very tasty. Unfortunately gum stuck to our chair in the restaurant, however without Umschweif from the management with a complimentary Blitzreinigung solved trousers. There is a pool, jacuzzi, plenty of room, gift shop, it is an original Touristenmotel. The view to the lake is very nice, so book room with lake view! Read more

The hotel was formerly known as the name Lake Plaza Rotorua hotel. It is located on the banks of Lake Rotorua and rebuilt in 2007 , beautiful. The hotel with its 248 rooms is the largest in the area, is a bit more built out, some wing enjoy an excellent location. We had a standard room, giant bed and had a fantastic views of the lake. we enjoyed our stay the room was very hot did not know that there was fans available had a bit of a flood from the shower when on high pressure as the shower box was not sealed at the bottom so we just had to be more careful otherwise the room was very nice i would stay there again now i know there are fans.

The hotel was loud, we had to change rooms, there was no air conditioning, it was hot and right next to the sulfar lake so it was typical Rotorua, the smell of sulfur was thick in the air.

No air conditioning in the unit meant the window needed to be open which naturally bought with it the delights of the sulfurous Rotorua air.
