It was not the desired dream holiday. The cleanliness of the room was very bad, mold in the bathroom and lime. The room furniture was older. The food was not very good, diarrhea pre-programmed. Children slides between twelve and 15 hours not in use. Between nine and 18 hours, swimming was allowed. Good hotel for families-the pool holiday prefer. The beach was great, the sea for diving and snorkeling fantastic, even for smaller children. If you like low flying aircraft,the smell of aviation fuel and human waste (dependant on wind direction), filthy rooms, rude staff, warm beer, poor entertainment and poor food, then this is the hotel for you! - in May 10
Pools are big and clean, no problems getting a sunbed, dont know why the slides are only in use for 4 hours a day though? Entertainment is poor, SOHO SQUARE is a nice place, QUEEN VIC is reasonably priced and has a few little rides for little ones, also bowling is next door and a shrot walk to the ice rink and indoor soft play.

This was by far the worst holiday we have ever had. - in July 10
stayed at sunrise island gardens for two weeks nothing about going topless at the pool on the board only on a piece of paper in your room and it reads not allowed to stay topless nobody would stay topless lay topless yes but they need to word it i and another lady were topless but when she went home and by the way she has been comming to this hotel for 4 years and has had no problems toplesssunbathing i was approached by the guest relations lady and told that i cant stay topless yes theres that word again i said but another lady is but she walked off i was at the back of the pool but i think a family/mother complained about me yes you will know who you are so petty but after i was spokn to other people were topless nothing said ive been in egypt before and been topless sunbathing but not this hotel so you see it can be done and dont get me started on the rep rude no customer service the topless rule should be posted on the brochures we booked with first choice but flew with thomas cook when we got back i had pen to paper the only rule they abide by on the sheet of paper is not allowed to stay topless the rule about not reserving your sunbed doesnt apply nor does the one pool open 8 to 5 but we watched people in pool at 6 45 at night also no shorts or vest tops in dinning area at night god i wish id had my camera with me every night so i wont be going back to this hotel may go back to the one i was at 6 years ago topless sunbathing we tried to make good of a bad situation worst holiday ive had but beware if you are like me and you like going topless sunbathing choose another hotel or you may be ok if you dont get a prude moaning

We booked independently , so contacted the hotel , to book the taxi - everything went without problems (thanks to Emad the driver - you can use the hotel taxi without any hassle ), arrived given drinks , towels , and a really nice room , overlooking the pool , the rooms are travel lodge style , and had been freshly decorated , yes the furniture is a little tired , but its ok , and there is a fridge , free safe, hairdryer , and the shower was very efficient - no limits to hot water - we stayed in a 5 star in Cairo , and the rooms were very similar - the back of our room was the garden , road, airport , and Sinai mountains - you can hear the planes , but your excellent aircon , drowns out any real noise - and it didnt bother me at all . - in November 09

The hotel is basic but your room is cleaned every day ,the food is basic but there is always something you like,the breakfast is lovley and the dinner time meals are better than on night,they also serve snacks around the pool bar from 12-5 everyday which are great if you have kids ,pizza,burgers hotdogs etc (there is 1 rude chef at the pool bar ,first time we have had anyonee rude in this hotel)The staff cant do any more to make you feel welcome and look after you threw out your stay they will do anything for you as long as you ask them nicely ,we seen a few people being very rude to the staff !

The free shuttle bus to the beach at the Sister hotel (Sunrise Island View) was good, it came every 15 minutes from 08:00 till 17:00. - in January 10
One point to make about the man made beach which is only a ten minute stroll or a short ride on the free shuttle bus is that because it isn't a large area all the parasols are crammed together, so if you want to sunbath stay by the pool because you are almost in constant shade. - in December 09
reached via free shuttle bus its a 2 minute ride or a 5 minute walk at the sister hotel, perfect diving or snorkelling water, plenty of sun loungers and a bar serving tea, coffee soft drinks and beer only, also a snack bar (garden residents can use all the beach facilities at the island view) entertainment.

We used the sister hotel on the beach regularly but were only allowed 2 alcoholic drinks there and could only eat from the beach bar, which was ok.

CLOSE TO AIRPORT - although the hotel is VERY close to the airport, in fact one of the runways is at the end of the street that the hotel is on, a good thing is that you are only about ten to fifteen minutes on the coach after coming out of the airport, and to be honest, although you obviously hear the planes during the day, they didnt wake us up once at night, and didnt affect the holiday at all! - in February 10
just returned from sunrise island garden resort ,stayed 23 jan-30 jan 2010, very nice hotel staff very friendly, food very good ,although breakfast not to english tastes, amination team worked hard all day long, room was ok asked for move on second day due to mould in shower area, but no problem we was moved straight away, close to airport some aircraft noise at different times of the day, overall good hotel,looking a bit tired now could do with a re-fit, would i go back to this hotel certainly ,would i recommend this hotel definetly , ps pool area was very good water slides, heated pool, nice relaxing holiday only downside was only one bar indoors if weather a bit chilly on night not a lot of seating for all the guests - in January 10

All in all another another great holiday in Sharm, close to the airport for a short transfer (alittle aircraft noise) and in easy reach of the beach (free shuttle bus) Thankyou Sunrise Island Garden, your hotel is fine, staff are great and we would return again.

Overall a decent place, could be improved in many ways would'nt go back to be blunt, the hotel is decent for the money you pay you are not going to get 5 star excellent food and private beds for this money, you are paying for run of the mill, you will get some people who love it (normally these have been to very few country's) poeple like us who have seem better and alot worse, and some who will hate it, Gr8 for Middle age and older people, young un's it certainly is not a place for, couples will enjoy and family's will be ok, but there is not that much for the kids. - in September 09

stayed here in july,,,luggage taken to room,,,all inclusive band put on straight away,,,drinks on arrival, went to room and it was small for my family,,,went back to reception and asked to change rooms,,,,mohamed abdallah who is the shift leader gave us a bigger room,,what a lovely man and very helpful also sayed on reception was also very helpful,,,all the staff work very long hours and the gardens and pool area was kept clean throughout our stay,,,,food is good and was hot lots of choice,,,we even had rice pudding one morning. - in June 10

Here is my view, hope this helps Good points, Food very good to very poor at times, liked the seating in the resturant but tip from the first day and they wil look after you, Drinks guy as well, Chips which don't bother me but Chips big queues for them why they can;t do 2 trays beats me one whole side is a queue just for chips, trust me the potatoe dishes are superb, fish not so, Chef dishing up specials is a bit tight Average point, Sun Beds yep you have to be up early to get a good spot but not being a pro like some people had to settle for whenever I could get, Pool excellent but crowded at times, Pool guys excellent help all they can. - in May 10

The facilities themselves were mediocre and the one pool was fine, but drinks were practically thrown at you and even cocktails were sometimes served in plastic cups! - in October 09
The pool bar was were you went of an evening to watch the entertainment, which again was dire, the pool bar served drinks in cheap plastic water cups, i don't mind plastic cups round the pool but these cheap cups were used for the evening. - in November 09

Hygiene was terrible, the plastic glasses you use for all day drinks are never cleaned properly, resulting in ulcers and cold sores for me and my fiancee, and several people including us came down with a stomach virus and ear infections from the pool. - in October 09

We have just got back from this hotel in Sharm,and I can say with all honesty that this was a great hotel,Firstly the staff they are out of this world,especially Julietta,(guest Relations) Hany( Resturant),Sayed (reception),to name but a few,The hotel is set out very good with 3 great pools,that are kept up to a great standard all the time,as well as the pool areas,there are plenty of sunbeds and Umbrellas, The rooms although a little tired are kept clean, and the beds are cumfy and the housekeeping staff and great,. - in December 09
