The hotel is very noisy! There is also the local beach/water park is, are there also many locals and visitors to the other hotels! All day long loud music acoustic irradiation, ten -15 times daily on the couch and someone wants to sell and is also very persistent! On the fifth day, no peace in sight! Very occasional intrusive staff to pretentious as to women! Unfortunately 80% Russians, which live up to their reputation, until late at night the! The hotel is lovely,The rooms are clean spacious and more than adequate.The pool area is excellent , except the water is cold.The beach is ok , but as the red and yellow flags always fly , deep water snorkelling off the jetty is hazardous and not for kids.
The food; breakfast is fine, lots of breads , fruits ,croissants etc.Lunchtime at the pool and beach bar is horrible.The smell of cooking is stomach churning.Bored staff dish out anemic chips , and dodgy burgers. the pizza is just bread with some colour

Just home from our 3rd time at the Sunrise Tirana and again we had a great holiday. There was myself, husband and our 5 year old son - who celebrated his birthday there. We were there for a week.

If you are going in to any of the nearby towns I would recommend the hotel taxis it is 100 LE in to Nabq bay return and arrange pickup time prior to leaving very prompt and they offer a good service, I would recommend this hotel for a quiet sun holiday, it is quite a distance from anything there area a lot of steps around the hotel, Good hotel and the staff area friendly and helpful. - in August 10

was promised 3 nice rooms together with pool views and i got them big clean and tidy,food is average always managed to find something, always got a table in the dinning room,pools and slides are fab pool bar always a bonus , a bit to do in the night but to be honest i was glad didnt have too much on as i was always ready for bed by 11 after long fabulous days by the pools ,yes some of the finishing touches are abit poor nothing major and yes hotel has a few things they can improve on but dont all new businesses its a learning curve ! - in June 10

firstly dont know where the people who write the bad reviews on the sunrise go on holiday ive been round the world and this was the 5th trip to sharm in different hotels and id rate it as one of the better ones we took 3 gkids aged 3 to 9 and they loved it the slides thepools the kids club the animation team all first class the staff are brill with kids and adults alike try saying please and thankyou and you wont have aproblem as for hygine we found it very clean the cleaners work all day everyday i would like to see some of these moaners homes --they must be fairytale palaces sunbeds are plentyfull you will get them all day long tubes for slides can be a problem when people hog them -but the pool guys are on to that and make sure it doesnt happen--but it would pay to take your own-a lot of the slidesyou need mats for and there was enough of them kids disco starts at 8 30 in the amphitheatre most nites or in front of dining room then goes on to egypt entertainment and it aint guns n roses but who cares no problem getting a table in dining room especially if you wait till 8 when the first mad rush has gone-they do not run out of food and theres agood selection dont ask for a double vodka -had to go get a coke to water it down beach is good with all facilites and only a 5 minute bus ride yes and the snokling is good all in all a very good clean hotel would have no hesitation going here again and next time i might have time to sit on loo and see if ican find some dodgy grouting--theres some sad people out there pull your shorts on and get out there you will love it - in September 10

They had to wear jumpers in the room, DER turn it off or turn the temp up on the controls) Food was what I expect from allinclusive loads of it allways hot,( NO PORK THATS BACON AS WELL) and yes some of the live cooking station you had to queue ( but that is food cooked in front of you and when there is 1000ish people in the hotel what do you expect) yes we had to get or own cutlery and drinks some times, but just because there are staff there it doesn't mean I lost the use of my legs ( like some people who most have left theres on the plane with there manners ) snack bar food burger and chips served all day kids loved them and had 2 a day ( they also went for meals with us but stuggled to find any thing to eat but always found something ) even if your fusy you will not starve there is always somthing ( my daughter is as fusy as they come with food ) Italian was good and so was the indian both are free and both werth a vist Bars well this is something else that has baffold me( about the bad reviews) I had no prob getting a drink day or night whether that is by my own legs or by a waiter ( they work 15/18 hours a day ) to make your holiday i did tip and was happy to do this the pool waiter (mousafat i think thats right) I tiped 2/3 pound a day ) i didn't have leave my sun bed if i didnt' want to . - in August 10

Went to Naama Bay a couple of nights and went to TGI Fridays and Hard Rock Cafe. - in July 10
The entertainment team were really friendly and made our holiday, thank you Sam, Lizzie, Julie, Mido, Sama, Kimo, Nadia, Sasha, Becky, Jamacia and DJ Kash we have had a right laugh, these guys work soooo hard to make you have an enjoyable holiday, they also did nights out to Pacha and Hard Rock Cafe which were amazing! - in June 10
There are plenty of shops, bars and restaraunts (including Hard Rock Cafe, TGI Fridays and Pascha) The locals can hassle you abit to get you into shops, bars but if you just ignore them they will go away. - in May 10

if you want peace and quiet and to relax i recomend the relaxing pool near the indian resturant,this place is perfect for couples who just want to spend time together in a romantic enviorment,it is good for kids as well though i did notice that little ones do get irratable because of the heat,i also noticed that the staff bend over backwards to make the little ones feel welcome9as indeed they do for everyone else)the staff work long hours (16 hours a day for most of them)to make your holiday special and they only get paid £35-£40 pounds a month,so why not tip them ?i think they all deserve it. - in September 10

The pool guys will put your towels out daily for a small tip every few of days, we took egyptian pounds and tip them in that, 5 egyptian pounds is 70p approx, the pool and snack bar staff were also great fun, there was a young man bringing us drinks around the relaxing pool I tried to tip every day for 14 days, he wouldnt except it, i even chased him put it on his tray and ran off only to find it back on my sun lounger after a dip in the pool :-( We found it hard to spend money. - in July 10

Overall opinion of the hotel: We were very surprised how huge the hotel looked as we drove up to the front of it,well tended garden's etc and a lovely looking exterior,as we went inside I have to say we were very impressed, the staff also are so very friendly and cant do enough for you,rooms are lovely,corridors immaculate as are all the public areas, now---- the aquapark this is where we spent every day for the whole week of our stay,brilliant funfor both adults and children,the main pools were cold and therefore all our time was spent at the aquapark,we didnt even go in for food at the hotel in the daytime,the main pool bar cooking chips hot dogs burgers etc and I was told jacket potatos but cant comment on that,staff again were brilliant,couldnt do enough for you and constantly checking you were ok,fetching you sunbeds etc and rings for the kids,thankyou all! - in November 09
(my advise would be to buy your rings before you travel as there are not many) The Pool area has a nice feel and there are four main areas to sunbathe with plenty of bar areas and two swim up pool bars(these are very cold pools)you will warm up quickly. - in March 10

Bad point the hotel is near the airport and there is a lot of noise from planes taking off especially on Thursdays (every 20 mins) but you get use to it Tips take some duty free with you to the hotel, mixers reasonably priced in hotel shop, tip from our Egyptian rep set your air con to 22 to stop you getting tummy upsets, it did work for us and shower before you go into the icy cold pools.
