Villa Toscane

The Villa Toscane is the sister hotel to the much bigger Royal Plaza which is located across the road. For those watching their budget the Villa Tocane is a good option since it is reasonably cheap by Montreux standards yet guests have have use of the facilities at the Royal Plaza (which are mostly free of charge ). The rooms at the Villa Toscane are adequate but the bathroom very small. There is also no air conditioning which was an issue during our visit because of the high temperatures. The villa Toscane is located on the busy main street. It is permanently loud, probably in all rooms. The hotel has no own reception, the door was also open at night. My room (apparently standard room) was in the basement. As an average size bathroom. The bathroom was tiny, the furnishings were from 70er years. The shower totally useable, the shower head broken. A absolute insolence are the four stars. The breakfast in the hotel across the street was perfect. Read more

A lovely stay in a lovely hotel in a lovely town! The staff were excellent, even putting up with my terrible attempts at French with a smile. Our room was all that could be expected, and the rooms were made-up daily, even when we didn't leave the room until well into the afternoon. All in all, a wonderful place to stay and I'd definitely recommend it. Read more

The is a terrible, dirty and run-down hotel, never a 4 Star award the deserved! Also the mother hotel Royal Plaza, is the high standards of a five star hotel in any way fair. The continental breakfast includes a few different, dried sweet pastries, bread, jam and nutella-nothing else! The whole is it to 14.-CHF. Staff unfriendly and obviously trained on complaints to arrogant and incompetent to respond. Here can say unfortunately only fogendes : stay away! Every hostel offers probably more service for the money, this luxurious as alleged. Read more

-I booked the hotel spontaneously for a night, at the last minute, and for a double room without breakfast 140 CHF paid
Hotel is specified with 4 * but has no reception (the hotel is located across the street)
The room are clean but, very old fashioned antique decor; you feel like you're in a movie from the early television in favour of 1980's
-Shampoos, soap, trouser press, TV etc. are available
-We have received some voucher for spa treatments & the food in other hotels in the group, the staff was quite unfriendly here & inattentive Read more
