This was already our 2 visit to the tucan and it was again unbelievably!
Extremely friendly staff, friendly, nice and really!
The food was very good and with a lot of variation and please if you didn't find anything there, should only vacation majorca and curried sausage and Schnitzel food!
Service is incredible and so nice!

Great hotel. Especially friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous area and the beach, but the quality and selection of the food leaves a lot to be desired! Wasn't in any way the sterneangabe, not even for Mexico!
We had a junior suite with a view of the sea booked, most expensive rooms, but were consistently loud american weddings in the evening, so you in spite of the closed patio door not talk, television, sleep... Could. This room was nice, but not recommended, unless you like it.
No desk in Playa del Carmen mr angel book, disastrous organization. read more

Really great plant with natural parts. Very clean. Very good service. However the food is not mexican, however rather for diabetics suitable. Smokers have bad luck in this hotel and intimate evenings in the hotel bar are non-existent. The entertainment is very moderate (i liked that). The distance between the sufficient loungers by the pool fraud in the average about 8 centimeter Snuggle is announced. The audience was international. Many british people. But no binge drinking. On the first impression the Iberostar Tucan very pleasant, the jungle with the animals is great. The rooms ok, the bathroom a bit small and not bright enough. Cleanliness could be better. All stop already somewhat worn! With the food we have to a star away breakfast okay, lunch at the beach wide choice does not exist, with the coffee, there was leftovers from the previous night, dinner in the hotel almost everything luke warm or cold and always the same. We visited the hotel in May 2012. The direct beach area on the sandy beach from playacar is great.
The hotel is situated in a small jungle the many exotic animals populated.
The all inclusive catering leaves nothing to be desired. Much fresh fruit, salads and international cuisine.
The guests came mostly from the USA and Canada. We only composites experiences with other guests made.
The staff speaks English and was always very helpful.
At the beach and at the pool there were enough sunbeds.
All in all it was a relaxed vacation in a great hotel. read more

We have three great weeks at the Iberostar tucan/ Queztal spent. Was planned diving, relax, and culture. In addition beautiful walks on the beach. Base should a beautiful hotel nearby from Playa del Carmen to be. We have just perfect selected: in the diving center we were on German welcomed and got mostly a German Guide for interesting dives, to the rest we arrived at the wonderful beach where us off in the morning, 10 o'clock, for all inclusive almost everything about drinks brought, what your heart desires. For excursions we had to to shopping center ( about 10 minutes) ... go, but bearable. In a good half hour footpath at the beach or at the street along you can reach the center playa del Carmen, where ' Nichtshopper ' strong nerves need, because here you will constantly were asked. The small jungle between the Iberostar tucan and Quetztal was one of the reasons, why we the hotel selected and we were thrilled of which. read more

Great complex! Hotel looks like in the middle of the jungle bedded! Exotic plants small forests and lots of animals to discover. Very nice pool area! The neighboring Playa del Carmen with its restaurants, bars and options for shopping is with the taxi in five minutes to reach. The hotel is very recommendable, we would spend our vacations there anytime again! read more

We were on the sixth time at the Riviere-Maya in a portfolio-so far it were always four star and us have felt very, very comfortable. The was not different this time, however, we had expected more also really in a star more. Central Kriktik -points here:
-It smelled everywhere at any time to food, made the looked very good, but from the first to the last day for Magendrücken. The made really no joy. Furthermore, we had made a good stomach prophylaxis. We were really not!
-Only a small bar for a maximum of 700 persons (tucan and Quetzal). Usually ... we have stood for our drinks so queue, although not were written off the hotel. How must the high season be?
-No free shuttle bus service after Playa del Carmen (usually a standard offer).
Staff professional, but not really identify itself with the area. For example, the is very important and that is why over Christmas we will book again our 'old' family 4 star area of last year and the year. The management was the whole time, for example, no people.
-Lack of feedback forms. The wanted we know not from us, as it us has fallen. Really unprofessional!
-No seats available for dinner, to to sit comfortably on the sea or on chairs outside by the pool at tables. Pool bar castle to 6:30 p.m. on time. So nothing with a cosy beer on the beach.

On recommendation of a few friends in Mexico for the first time %blank%! Found this hotel and the price me rather pleasantly surprised! \u263a directly a positive point!
When we arrived there, i trusted my eyes! What a really beautiful, generous equipped & grand decorated resort! The staff is really unbelievably helpful & stands day and night for a ready! The restaurants were really great! The buffet restaurant was no moment boring & stayed at the steakhouse the best steak ever eaten! The entertainment team was very professional & nice (both from the activities forth, as well as them shows)! ... The staff are very multilingual, try thus times, to talk german with them, some understand really, what you say! Super funny!
It is enough going on in the resort & Playa is located with the taxi five minutes away, so enough choice! Am unfortunately only nine days there & it was way too short! In a few months i will but return to again everything nice to be able to enjoy! Great hotel!-) read more

The was with distance the best hotel ever had what we in the Caribbean. It was nothing, nothing at all to complain but also. The staff were all very friendly, the food was tasty and good quality, drinks really all inclusive, even at the beach were brought to the beach chairs at 40 °C with a smile ☺ The area is beautiful, our beach-great room. The only what I found was not quite so special to the beach. Since we had to date in the Dominican Republic and Cuba on a nicer sandy beach. Like but also constantly sagging in ... the sand. Was but not really disturbing. It was just not so pure Caribbean dream beach you would expect it to be. We were three where. Tip: look at whether the Quetzal is the cheaper or tucan, then the more favourable, because both is absolutely identical, is really only resort with just a two receptions. All, really all very friendly and clean.
The room was nicely decorated with different hand towel animals daily.
What negative was, that our room very, very damp was. We had to call in the evening even the cleaning lady, so that our bed covers, as everything was bit.
Even the clothes in the closet, money in the stock market, everything was damp cigarettes. About. 85% humidity we ☹
Our room in block 15 is unfortunately not recommend to the ground so, since we never got a real natural light into the ... room, due to the jungle in the area, was never really light into the room and we needed the whole day light.
Great room with an ocean view or course of the neighboring hotel, you will see the sunset also beautiful.

On the food you can only say, a dream ☺
The breakfast was it about ten freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruit, fresh prepared by a very chef, behind the counter.
