The Rhino Valley Lodge (also known as ngulia camp, not to be confused with the ngulia lodge) is located in the middle of the wilderness in tsavo west. The einzimmerbungalows, built in the african style, stood slightly higher over the extensive level on approximately 900 meters. Bed. Meter instead of windows are large mosiktonetze appropriate. This will the rooms on the one hand at night quite well cooled down and on the other hand you hear at night the 'wilderness sound' (elephants, lions, frogs, etc.) The best (the wilderness calls!). There the complex is not fenced, you can in ... the dark only check in with a schwerbewaffneten masaikriegers (spear!) From the restaurant/bar into the room. The electricity by means of a diesel generator produces, which mainly at night it is. read more

We were as a part of a safari through tsavo west in rhino Valley and were completely inspired!
We had a great front desk, good-although simple-food and a beautiful small house! The room/ small house offers a great ostblick in tsavo west. And if you want, you will be woken up from the sunrise. Directly in sight was the waterhole, where elephants and giraffes back yard. The room is clean and the bed very comfortable. Evenings offers the massaikrieger insights into the life of nomads. The food is as I have already mentioned simply, but I as a vegetarian was ... full! For a safari the lodge absolutely recommend. It is not too big and touristy. Otherwise is the area the rhinos not far away. Let alone of the breathtaking view from the terrace! read more

We stayed during our 5-day safari for one night with lunch, dinner and breakfast in Rhino Valley Lodge. Beautiful, small lodge, which on a small hill. The reception was very sincere and we immediately got refreshment towels and a refreshing drink.
The food was very good and in the form of buffet offered. We were in the last house and saw from our room immediately on the waterhole what a lot of elephants was visited. Since the front of the room from zeltstoff is, will give you the very background noise of the animals waterhole with. The lodge is not ... fenced; and you will be in the evening and in the morning of a massai accompanied. He has also in the morning at the photographs of the sunrise company and we still have some time to talk.
The rooms were clean, the bathroom was also clean, but unfortunately our shower not warm. So was cold showers announced.
The lodge is relatively small and super quaint. In spite of the cold shower I would this lodge because of the atmosphere book immediately again. read more

The Rhino Valley Lodge (or Ngulia camp) is located in the north of Tsavo West national park nearby the rhino sanctuary and is quaint on a mountain slope location.
We have merely one night in this lodge and are provided with therefore only limited Beurteilungsmöglichkeiten. The lodge as such is in comparison to the other lodges and camps, which we this year but also in the years previously inhabited, average. Everything was relatively, basic '. The rooms are but very nice and are using many natural materials, so they have a certain Kenya-flair. The electricity was of 18-24 and 5-8 ... hours.
Unfortunately the food was all three meal times, we had, quite delicious, but the offered quantity but so small, that one was afraid, the following guests everything wegzuessen. Refilled-if at all-only very slow. I eat normally no tons, but here I am really not full. Drink prices as well as in other lodges ( Cola 150 KSH, beer 300 KSH).
One is compensated but in any case from the great view of the whole valley and the waterhole, at the evenings also a Elefantenherde einfand. This view you can both from the terrace its BANDA, as well as of the restaurant area enjoy. read more

This lodge was just safari relaxation. No luxury or something, but that I don't need it either on safari. The tent was wood and not large. It had no windows, but only a mosquito net. No TV, telephone or anything else. You could from the room on a waterhole look, which also until 22:00 o'clock was lit, where elephants and other animals to drink arrived. Also there is no fence, this means the animals could theoretically to the tent come. You should also in the darkness outside not alone move. The restaurant is approximately 100 meters from the tents ... away, and you have to in the afternoon say, what time of day one to eat would like. We you picked up by a man with a spear, with the you go to the restaurant goes, and after eating back. From 10:00 P. M. There is no electricity, you get during the check in a flashlight, around at night the toilet to go, or in the case of an emergency with Signalzeichen noticeable to make.
The view from the restaurant is simply breathtaking. One may expect oneself here no luxury imagine, we could for example in the morning not your teeth or on the toilet the tent, but only in the restaurant, as elephants at night leak trodden have. But exactly this was safari feeling. read more

There were a night in this lodge. We had the last room on the lodge grounds and the best view of the waterhole. Evenings we could observe lots of elephants. The food was excellent, and the service staff are very friendly. If you evenings the food you can go from the staff picked up and also brought back to the room. Because this isn't 'enclosed' and, therefore, may I unintended animal seals at any time possible be ☺. The rooms are very spacious and wonderfully furnished. Here you could be there a few days. The view from the restaurant is ... really nice. If you are looking for a lodge in Tsavo West is the best advice. read more

On my safari provider I ended up automatically in the rhino valley lodge and came into the goggle. Already reception building with the attached restaurant is dreamlike on a hill location. The restaurant has a great view in the underlying long valley, which is also a waterhole has to offer. During the meal you can enjoy the wide variety of animals in the come and go watch. The elephants of giraffes, antelopes and a lot other animals left the'program' nothing to be leftover. Direct before long balcony of the restaurant is a small Futterstation at peak times for birds appropriate. ... If one or the other Küchenrest there is, one has really quick wonderful fotos: Webervögel, Blaurücken -warbler and Buschhörnchen ready on the watch a lot Joy.
if you disregarded, that the restaurant a fantastic observation ward is, it is of course the classic be Fed. And it hardly Wishes open. It offers a selection of fresh salads, hot dishes and desserts. And a soup is missing also never. The staff are in all areas very friendly and accommodating and answer questions at any time gladly.
the absolute best was however my bungalow. The lodge is very small and only has a small number of bungalows. Therefore, these too a wonderful view of the valley and the behind-wide wide. The bungalows are from rock constructed, to the valley, you however a tent wall. This you can either opaque close or the fabric blinds up tie, so that through the screens on the whole side of a valley view enjoyment can. Before the bungalow there is a small outdoor terrace with comfortable armcharis. There receives one also visit from many lizards in different colorings.
at certain times will the electricity turned off. Then but a flashlight and candles available. Oh:in the dark you should not alone outside between the bungalows and restaurant move, as it is a lodge, the outwardly by a fence is secured. But there always staff the hotel available, which helpful lead and the necessary Sense of security. So you can also evening campfire savor and the stories of Masai listen. read more

It was a very exciting night in this camp. Because this camp as many other also is not fenced you after sunset from the room picks you up and brought back, because probably from time to time even leopards in camp around. After eating there was a campfire which also with escort was. The rooms are very rustically furnished and large. A wall was completely screens, so that the water hole below the valley could see. At night, you could then still another plan down. The staff was very friendly. read more

Camp with a great view on an elevated location. Unfortunately we have on our 6-day Safari the highest quality experienced with regard to African friendliness, responsiveness and quality of the food. The staff seemed listless. In two of the three evenings we rented bungalows had no hot water. This was despite complaint by the driver, as well as ourselves on the second day not fixed. The only place on the journey here in the morning the pool not working wake-up calls. read more

The rhino valley lodge loved by its location on the hillside and the view of the valley, directly below the lodge is in the evening lit water hole-all kinds of animals attracts. This sight, whether at the restaurant or on the private terrace is one-time! The lodge has gotten old and even though we're all other than picky-doesn't clean. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom adequate. We have very many lizards and a mouse in the room, is right in the middle of the steppe. However, it is in the corners were filthy, the rancid refrigerator some ... dusted schn apps bottles, the screen had holes in them. However, the view compensated for many things. The restaurant is also wonderful and the choice of food at the buffet is sufficient Dun mostly fresh. At the bar are lots of bottles. But there is no card, no decoration, the barmaid was quite good and the drinks brought low glasses and rubbish. For the first nights we got the 'luxury room' at the top of the hill. But is apparently only, since the lodge was fully booked. The room is seldom inhabited and is big, but dirty and old. Since we had no flying water, we had to spend a night in room for the second night and a correct room. That was okay for us. The handling of complaints was however difficult and our feedback, after several times to find out some specific things we requested and had asked for. A Etnschädigung did not give it. Overall, the lodge is okay, but you shouldn't expect too much. The manager is a little hard and invested in the hotel apparently only little worn-out. read more

This lodge is a very special place, because the view you get is second to none. When we arrived at the lodge, we were almost the only ones, which positive effect on our room. We stayed in one of the buildings right in front of the waterhole, so we could watch the animals especially good. The rooms are very clean and in a very beautiful African style equipped. Since we were there outside of the season the food was not served in buffet form, but brought to the table. The selection of food was not very large. In my opinion ..., the lodge is part of one of the most beautiful in the whole park and that is why we love to stay there again. read more

We loved the lodge. Even the refrigerator was available in the bungalow. View from our terrace directly at the water hole. It couldn't have been better. A hippo in the waterhole, lots of elephants, a quite schliefer and everything from the first row with a glass of wine. The view from the restaurant was very nice, however it was cozy in front of the bungalow. The food (buffet) in the restaurant was very good, the selection was very good. Except for the-by far-the highest quality of our Safari-we can recommend the lodge. read more

We only spent one night at the rhino Vally during our safari. The lodge is located in an elevated location. The view over the valley is beautiful. beautiful was also the sunrise right over the valley. Highly recommended. On the grounds of the lodge are no lanterns and no fences, so you are picked up in the dark by a hotel employee and go back to the room. It is because of the leopards yield in this area alone be dangerous to move around. Our companion had a lock for everyone. If we would have helped in cases of doubt ..., we had fortunately not know. The rooms are furnished in a slightly rustic way. This is very authentic and is quite nice, especially in this area. A wall of the room consists of Zeltwand. So you could enjoy around the clock the background noise when you sleep in the open air. This can be very nice, but a bit weary women was us. You can not distinguish, what was going on outside, what inside. In this lodge we have the extremely, because the frogs and insects here seem to be prompting even louder. Probably the noise halls from the mountains extremely. Furthermore, our room was full of lizards. In principle, nothing bad, only this time it was improbable and partly very large (till about 35 centimeter). They contributed to, that we hardly slept in that night, as they ran around. The bathroom was okay. It was a little poorly lit. Hot water for the shower was only after a long wait, so it is better to save water and cold showers. The staff was quite rare, but otherwise friendly. The food was okay, even if there isn't much choice. Overall, it was a positive review, but nice stay. It was clean and the service was okay, but again we would have not. read more

Our Safari a day in this lodge spent. Room was very large, beautiful spacious, clean, with balcony direction waterhole. The rooms are monkeys rum running during the day, there were sometimes also recording balcony (door always so close!). Food was good, buffet style. Indian twist was not only at the Food, but also in the creation of the lodge noticeable. In about ten minutes you are in the middle of Tsavo West national park. Highlight were five lions and many herds. Hotel guests were we Austrians hpts. Locals, due to the travel time (November). Conclusion: would not hesitate to go ... back there again. read more

The lodge is in the middle of the wilderness in the mountain slope built, there is no zone around, so you could make in the dark No step in the door, as the leopard around and night time in the tree above the room. Also elephants keep getting on, the waterhole if designers, they told us. That's what I call it Safari feeling ☺.
the rooms are super, the furnishings are all made with materials from nature, there is a mini bar (prices are cheap). It is a huge mosquito net forward with a view of the waterhole, with a ... plan you can the evening on request with zipper close. The view from the bed was a thing for itself, the 'balcony' we could on the afternoon eight elephants at the waterhole watch and many saw giraffes. In the night elephants are a group and two are starting to fight (the waterhole is lit)-you have heard the tusks, the elephants roared out and run away. So what you see not often. In the night it was very loud.
The electricity in the rooms from 18 o'clock.
The bathroom is big enough and clean.
In the evening (about 19:30 o'clock for us it was 19,50 o'clock) you will be picked up by a of the staff from the room, he has a flashlight and a spear and a restaurant, where you can have a great view. You could help yourself to a delicious buffet. There was the usual (potatoes, rice, vegetables, chicken, beef) and it was always tasty, as well as the breakfast and lunch.
We can definitely recommend this lodge. read more

Incredible views, huge large terrace, design of the room could not better the atmosphere in the mountains fit. Food is good, Tarhi eco camp in (Tsavo East) clear better. For the circumstances in the middle of the national park but still perfectly adequate. With dark you could only by 'security' in the company of (a Masai) outside of the main building and the bungalows (predators) move. The sounds must act on it; this is just great.
As to the outdoors in their ability to communicate in other erwaten, there are plenty of mice in the rooms so backpacks with any ... food left on the floor.
Electricity is at night only for a few hours and from 22 o'clock then once with light. Flashlight, fuel and candle light are available. read more
