We are for 15 years guests of koggala beach hotel, we look forward every time on the new, in our hotel Again spend your holiday. The beach is wonderful, the water is clear and clean, you can at the beach hours jogging. Although the hotel is not the newest, but clean and tidy, the rooms are cozily furnished. The staff were friendly and nice. The hotel has two pools, the one is in koggala beach and the larger in the village-club, which you can also use. You can in the whole complex freely move. The bdemeister are very vigilant, when ... it comes to the safety bathers is. The food is very good and something for everyone there. Recommendable as beach vacation and good starting point for tours through the country. Value for money is the expectations. read more

Family vacation with two kids 14 and 3-years-old. The hotel is already outdated, but the tzunami survived. Our expectations were not too big. The staff has the best of circumstances, and was always make an effort. As we are early birds, we could every day watch how the complex and the pool cleaned, before the hotel started. We have every day also before the time our coffee. There our daughter ( 3 years) blond is, it was the large star with the staff. And we could really relax, because all always keeping an eye on you had. The hotel was ... deteriorated, but we found to be very pleasant. It also a very nice ambience. Up to a safari we have our excursions ourselves organized. Offers by the ' beach boys ' at the beach yes enough. Mostly annoying the very. We have ourselves then from a 'boy' named saliya ( very good german) operator. And already we had his brother ' sumith' with his tuktuk as a guide. And sumith we can definitely recommend! He tried with of german, is not so pushy and holds itself really to the agreements. And is priced very fairly. Exactly the right thing for people, the secluded from hotel something of the real life to see. We have therefore also much secluded from guide seen. A very big complex, rooms are in bad condition, in the first room the door didn't close, after we had moved in 2. room no telephone, rusted shower, moldy pillows. After some complaints and photos in front of the hotel staff was a new shower installed and a new pillows brought. The food was satisfactory, but in the evening fell on the terrace a heavy piece of metal mad from the lamp some meters deep directly to our table. It is in the nebentrakt no sufficient umbrellas by the pool - the paths to the main building are far. read more

To 8'. I was now in this hotel. The rooms are well-kept, only the mattresses, should be cleaned more often. Had last year circa 20 wanzenstiche on the back. The food is every year better. The employees are friendly and helpful. Now for the negative. It cannot be, the dogs of some older wachleuten beaten, stoned and even be poisoned. Here must the management action. Great holiday, a resort which one can really recommend. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is really good. And someone should plan excursions, simply chula kumara (baba) calls.     Rooms are functional and clean. Whenever a been a complaint, you can get the room boys this address. Who luxury rooms, is in the wrong place here, but who spends the whole day in the room on?! To be comfortable, showers and changing rooms it was adequate. Whoever expected more must someplace else back!

    The hotel belongs to a 'hotel-chain' whereas the beach hotel the longest-standing is. Since 3 hotels, beach, village and long beach, belong could you all 3 restaurants use. I would not recommend, but just the offer from the koggala beach. For the food you have to, if you again a seconds would be careful, that the cutlery not taken. The hotel is a ( ageing) long pulled complex with 2 floors. We had two double rooms, one with a view of the sea. The rooms were spacious, there was a fridge, air conditioning and a fan, on level 2 already so eierte, that we didn't dare to use. The cleaning was ok, there were daily flowers on the bed arranged, but unfortunately left the cleanliness and the condition the bed sheets to be desired. We had booked all inclusive, food was often very hot and not very varied. While we were there the hotel was almost empty, a couple ... of dutch people, french and German of 5a 70 everything was there. read more

    It is from the front directly at the main road and in the back of the hotel right next to the sea. One had thus both, loud traffic noise and rushing waves, the yes were still pleasant. The way from the airport was difficult and took 5 hours. You could have the highway use it, if you are in 2.5 h there. The next town shopping is a piece missing, but in front of the entrance waiting enough small train-driver, the for little money their services. You really have to fight for this hotel break. For about 1,000,- euro all inclusive expected a a really nice unlocked staff. Clean room with daily cleaning. A choice of about 8-10 dishes daily. Fresh fruit and a 4:00 A. M. Tea with cakes or sandwiches. Clean sandy beach, well-kept complex with sun beds and free towel service. A clean pool and bar until 24:00 o'clock. Particularly worthy of mention are the best trained lifeguards and lifeguards. The sea is very dangerous and you should really only up to the knees into the water go. It although it's getting old, but still the perfect place for a relaxed beach vacation. It come lots of regular guests enabling informal atmosphere prevails. The staff are very friendly and taste to fulfill. Also without appropriate tip! The food is diverse, so that actually be something for everyone should. It is possible that, in the peak season already times longer Queues at the buffet are, but where is the not? My room was cleaned every day. With simultaneous towel- and changing. The beach is super nice. Leather you can often not in the sea bathing the waves are too ... high. But then the pools since. Don't forget three stars in Asien are not three stars in Europa. We are with mixed feelings after the last reviews after Kogalla dangers. We were 19-täglich and had all inclusive. Unfortunately, we must say, that it was not exaggerated is, in the poor reviews there is, we could only agree. The hotel lies on a beautiful long sandy beach. Very high waves and a strong undercurrent is not everyone thing. During our 15-day stay from at the end of february 2012, (all inclusive, couple, 55-60 years) there were shortcomings this hotel so clear, we believe it is advisable in discussing, our opinion on the information for future reiseinteressenten known: the assigned double room, 1st floor, with a view of the beach, was spacious, however rather dark, uncomfortable abode: furniture (approximately 20 years old, dark wood, one of the two beds very wobbly; on window was the holder of the verriegelungsgriffs already hotel luxmar. Because of the mosquitos and the threat of the spreading of denge -fibers we at night the ... windows kept closed. The cool aggregate in the room -also very old and rusty spots- worked, the disturbing noise difficult but sleep much. The bathroom -without any air ventilation possibility! - with a cubicle without lighting; from the water tap turbine a thin jet to the flow of water every moment end. The small balcony in front of the room: uneven floor, with flieszement roughly covered up a lot. The entrance to the room was at the roadside, a really busy street with disturbing, also night traffic noise, with the door closed but to endure. The everything was no pleasant holiday environment, even if you in view of the price range in lower price segment in this hotel special luxury not expect. The cleaning of the rooms was beanstandungsfrei, daily change of towels. Swimming in the sea in front of the hotel there is because of the high waves and it swirled up sand in the water no fun thing. Remedy in only approximately 700 meters south: a small bay with lying off reef, the waves cancels (right on the fortress -hotel). Eating and drinking: the breakfast buffet was poor. The thirsty during the day and evenings with cool ' bikers' deleted. At the dinner buffet there was often dishes. We had a great room with a sea view, with a terrace. The employees were all very friendly. In the hotel were guests from many countries.
