As I half board booked and during my stay there much tourism was, there were initially not much choice of warm dishes and salads at the buffet. After a complaint at the tour operator improved the selection drastically. It is as a visitor to recognize that no huge buffet can offer if not much going on is. Furthermore, but one should so flexible his, despite half board, that you get a meal from the menu choose must. The discussion, how expensive so what should be you can save, if you consider, which is more favorable. A wide choice or maybe ... a meal from the menu?!?
I had five days tours inclusive lunch booked. We ate in a place in Cairo. These meals tasted very good to me. read more

The hotel area was clean and quiet and offers a pleasant withdrawal to the lively streets Cairo.
the staff were very friendly and at the same time not pushy.
the food is good and diverse, however for Egyptian proportions very expensive (almost European prices), if you don't as half board booked.

because of the political unrest in the fall 2011, there were hardly any tourists in the city and in the hotel read more

This hotel has deserves its five stars, also if you all the paths with the taxi must communicate and can only on english. The staff is very helpful and I have me as a woman traveling alone felt very comfortable, had a double room at no extra charge and was respected, for example, got no side table in the restaurant. After a day sightseeing, etc. with a absolute oasis of tranquility in a beautiful park and a beautiful pool. Many weddings are held here, a great experience! At the weekend a popular excursion for local families with children the hotel. ... Recommendable hotel for families with children! read more

In contrast to the last year (see my detailed evaluation) nothing to complain I had this time. The room was newly renovated, the view was lovely and despite its proximity to the pool was the music from the wedding hard to hear.
The highway to the pyramids and cairo (Monib) is now finished, so you can now with the taxi usually expeditiously.
I used the four days in this hotel, to my trip to plan, in what this idyll very well managed.

We took a 2-day trip from Hurghada coming, over the Easter weekend. This weekend we got standard room, which I would describe not closer.
Since we only had to spend one night there, we had to put up with this hotel, however if possible, please avoid this hotel. The quality and taste of the food are not necessarily the five stars of the hotel given.
Was good at this hotel except the swimming pool and the swimming supervisors staff, that immediately took care of every guest. read more

We had the hotel as part of a trip to Hurghada to cairo book. It had a good transport links and all the sights we have run out of things to do.
The hotel is not in the best area, is but was good diversity of food and a very high wall by protected.
It was a very good breakfast buffet what has left nothing to be desired. In the evening you could in a very comfortable seating areas to relax.
The pool was also quite large.
We would want to spend in this hotel no holiday, because cairo in ... itself is very dingy, but for our purposes it was really OK. We have us felt at home!
Tip: definitely bring bug spray irrigation channels because for the farmers in the vicinity tiles. read more

The Catarakt Pyramits resort in Giza was a good starting point for trips to the pyramids of Giza, sakkara, Dahshur, to Memphis, old-cairo (Coptiches area), Egypt Nordic museum, the Cidadelle etc. and then a oasis of relaxation in the beautiful pool in a beautiful, well-kept location with courteous staff. The hotel is used varied: almost every evening a wedding party in the separate part of a large area, where the pair with the wedding party and a loud chapel tanzent by the property. Groups are almost daily, the use for 1a two nights the hotel. (Are also separately accommodated.) ... the food is plentiful and good. (We had booked half board what is really turned out, because the food outside of the hotel with caution to enjoy is!) for the small hunger occasionally it is a second à la carte restaurant and a cafe on the property. The prices for beer about 5 coke about etc. the hotel is 2.10 surrounded by fields and pathless residential areas, you better avoid the tourist. If you left the hotel with a taxi in the hotel so is offered, or with a which the hotel. It is also a shuttle bus of the hotel where you must sign up for it the day before. We had a taxi in front of the hotel the waiting, acted a price, and the driver drove us where we wanted there, waited until we with the inspections were completed, and gave us tips and suggestions for further activities. We used its services on a daily basis, as it happens in cairo traffic horrible, it with him and a safe and inexpensive thing was. In the hotel spoke and understood no German one, you must therefore communicate in english with! Also outside of the hotel only english! read more
