The hotel we have from 28-12-2012 until 03-01-2013 booked, around new years eve in New York to celebrate. The cleanliness of the hotel, as well as in the room was alright, however we noticed on our floor (14), the ventilation unusually loud throughout the hallway at night. In the hallway was peeling off the wallpaper was peeling off the ceiling and you can tell quickly, that the hotel its best days long behind itself had.
Our room was big and spacious, however, was the ventilation in the bathroom, as well as the heater in the room (in the off mode) ... so loud, that we the 1st night sleep. These i called the next morning at the front desk and met with a german tourists from the 10. floor, which is also on the noise of the ventilation weighted. At the front desk the wife very curt, promised but, they take care of wool. Of course until the evening nothing changed and we could despite ohropax not sleep.
When i the next morning sleep-deprived the woman at the front desk asked, what with the volume is, twitched only with the shoulders. The caretaker have it looked at, but he couldn't do anything. A different room i could not get, because the hotel was fully booked. As i said, that their job is to ensure, that the guests at least in peace sleep she said only, that we look for another hotel could. Wow, that was a nice slap in the face and everything but great service. read more

Hotel is on the first and 2. view a good impression. Somewhat older, but very well maintained. Large lobby, two lifts.
Free breakfast.
In the basement (next to the breakfast room) a so-called business center with several computers and printers, which one can use for free.
Small cons : the cleanliness in the elevators and hallways leaves much to be desired and the rooms are poorly soundproofed. read more

The hotel was to us a good starting point for our New York trip. Rooms are fine and clean (as already written no three stars standard as at home ), breakfast was for american standards very good. (were altogether 3 weeks for round trip). If you again our standard adopted. Just not comparable, just american. Cereals, bagels, toast, cream cheese, muffin and ok and, of course, the beautifully sweet and plastic plates and thin coffee. Were in 25-30 minutes in Manhattan.
The shuttle from the airport worked well. Staff were ok, were in a good mood (that was probably due ... to the thanksgiving) read more

The hotel is already older, but it has a certain charm.
The location for new York excursions is very good. In about 5-minute walk you can reach the Penn station. There simply in the nj transit (5 $/ person) and get about minutes one is in Manhattan. The view from the 9th floor is great. It is the whole skyline of Manhattan to be considered. The breakfast is for american normal standards, however for european a bit hard to get used to! The rooms are fine, tidy big and clean enough.
Overall the hotel is a good choice for a ... new York vacation. read more

Robert Treat a recommendation if you cheap NYC wants to visit and nevertheless close. Shuttle bus between Newark Airprt and hotel, all half hour, the pennstation Newark, however, you can well 10 to 15 minutes erlaufen. To NYC to come the Pathtrain take, by metrocard for vending machines at the entrance the track of trains to buy. Applies to subway and buses, cheaply and simply. And in the Newark Pennsation to McDonalds gone a Angusburger eaten. Surprise, the looked really like in the photo, I have never seen it like that before the was delicious. And in NYC na there ... is tips enough.
Only for the flight with the helicopter we had small Zeitreservierung, are simply have waited an hour and off we went, so relaxed.
Pier 17 is worth a visit, brilliant views and nice shops but about time,
And whoever Brooklyn over the bridge moves, should Homemadeicecream factory hiking, is on brooklynseite below the bridge, delicious ice, scoop 4 $, 3 but only 7, it is already again, but large Kudeln.

I (we) have the best Western Robert Treat hotel as a cheap, overnight stays for a new year's Eve holiday to new York booked. As such, and under consideration of the other hotel prices in the greater new York met the hotel well its purpose and can also be recommended. Luxury, or European three star standard shouldn't be expected! The 'continental' breakfast is certainly not everyone thing! The access to Manhattan is good, however must partly very crowded trains be taken into account. read more

The Best Western Robert treat best western in Newark is for sightseeing in New York very recommendable. It lies in downtown Newark only about 10 minutes walk away from the Newark Penn Station from there you are about minutes with the path train in the middle of Manhattan.
The hotel is clean and quiet located. Only the environment of the hotel offers no possibilities food to go or something in the supermarket to pick up. Only the staff is to complain about it's not friendly, rather bothersome even if you 'only to check in wants. The parking space is free ... but mostly very crowded. Ideally located to the prudential center and the red bull arena. A continental breakfast is with the room always with it read more

The hotel has a free shuttle service to the Newark Liberty International Airport and Newark Penn Station, which runs every half an hour. The breakfast is included in the price, although it was not in good condition. The breakfast is good and varied, the breakfast room in the basement were quite comfortable with free newspapers and big tv, constantly on the CNN runs. There is a business room, in which three PCs, the Internet, can use fee. The room was okay, considerably larger than the rooms in Manhattan at similar hotels. The hotel was ideal for sports lovers, as the ... prudential Center (NHL/NJ devils and NBA/NJ nets) within walking distance in about eight minutes to reach. Is. Newark Penn Station is in about eight minutes to reach. from here to the trains run regularly Penn Station in Manhattan (journey time about 22 minutes, depending on the train). There you are charged at the Madison square garden (NHL/NY rangers and NBA/NY Bob). In Newark the leisure facilities are otherwise limited, therefor is clearly a single room affordable than in Manhattan. Overall the hotel is highly recommended, if you commute to Manhattan with the day-to-day it's not a problem. read more

The front desk staff are only reluctantly information and also on request only. You get the feeling constantly to disturb important phone calls to bother you. New Year's Eve party at the hotel apparently has a drunken party, the participants were sleeping on the floor in the Eingangangsbereich. The Pennstation (train to Manhattan) is reachable within a 5 minutes walk. Good was the shuttle bus service to and from the Newark Liberty International Airport. The shuttle also takes you to Pennstation, provided that the driver back there. Also you could take the shuttle to and from the mall "New Jersey ... Gardens" when the driver 5 dollars per person stays, that you saved the change to the shuttle service from the airport offered and the same cost. All in all it is ok for a short stay, but I wouldn't book this hotel again. read more

This place is not an anonymous "castle" and still has a little personal charm. The front desk staff was mostly friendly and tried hard. The price included breakfast offers a good start to the day as the next breakfast diner outside. So drive with an empty stomach to Manhattan. In the house you will meet just as other German, as well as travellers from the United States. read more

Regular shuttle service to/from the airport and from/to Pennstation. Pennstation is also in 10 minutes. Within walking distance, in 30 minutes. In in NY you. The breakfast was ok by American standards, but slightly süßlastig; but there were different cereals, fresh fruit, coffee/espresso all kinds of espresso machine in good quality. And as a special service there was on the 11th floor so an espresso machine, where you can help yourself around the clock coffee, espresso or tea making facilities. The breakfast room is a bit small but the hotel was clearly noticeable even when fully booked! Good gym with ... a range of equipment and complimentary wireless internet access. Bottled water every day in the room. read more

We tried some hotels in New York, as we have many hotel status. Therefore we were already in Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt and wanted to try a Best Western. The hotel looks from the outside well maintained and the lobby with a small kiosk is nice. In the basement there is a fitness center and a lounge, where breakfast is served as well. Plus was the business center, where we could have free access. read more
