After a somewhat exhausting prior and light problems with the boat, we were in paradise arrived. That it unfortunately daily often rained and the view underwater was harmed, it was fate. But the experiences with sharks and mantas were amazing or the many swarms of fish, turtles, seahorses, nudibranchs. There was so much to see. Each dive was an experience and you could every diving spot several times and go every time it was different and nice. One had only his mask, fins, diving computer and camera take, everything else was constantly on the boat carefully prepared and ready. All ... of the staff was super friendly and helpful. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable. Showering under the open sky. What experiences. Mornings you had to already sometimes on the water from the tap wait, because only everything hochgepumpt had to be, but there one must simply aware, where you are. - at the end of the world, on a more than remote island, with its own supply. Where not always 100% ig works, like in Germany! Lovely, that no cell phone or telephone is, internet is a bit slow, but if you here is, who want to only peace, diving or snorkelling and take a break from everyday life. With these wishes you just perfect. There the majority of the guests only for one week remained, has the food in the 2. week a bit repetitive. But that wasn't that bad when daily three dishes, there was always very delicious and diverse. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made almost every request. I enjoyed particularly the cookies in the afternoon to the coffee. That massages can use is a great service. One felt every time 20 years younger, where should the lead, if we more than 2 weeks would have remained?-) The guests came from all over the world and it was mainly english spoken. read more

Diving and snorkeling in one of the last paradises this world Our bungalow was a wood became beautiful dream. He asked plenty of space and comfort for the two of us. The steps of the porch led directly to the reef nearby. This is not only for divers, but for snorkelers a real treat. Countless species of fish, amongst others very relaxed Fledermausfische, massive Groupers and Barracudas at Putzerstationen, Napoleon, stingrays, turtles, the huge and peaceful Bumphead -parrotfish in schools more than 30 animals, large and small Schwarzspitzenriffhaie and gray's reef shark there was almost every time to see, often ... from next proximity. Everything was topped by most beautiful and healthy corals in clear and clean water, measured 30 degrees warm. From the depth of the sea came fish, which we never before seen. The restaurant offers tasty and varied and especially healthy food as a buffet. Justifiably we heard only words of praise left. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The internet always functioned, if also sometimes very Slow. To the diving spots does not exist much more to say than excellent! Wobbegong and epaulette's shark, many pygmies-seahorse and slugs, massive Gorgonienfächer and large areas of soft corals in fairytale Colors, massive shoals of fish and so on Once we could even false killer whales in the hunting Watch. The daytrip the 5000-year-old rock paintings belonged also to the absolute Highlights. All were divers and snorkelers can Andy for this large reserve just be grateful and hope, that this further extend. One thing is feast: we will be back! read more

the pictures on the Internet what you think promised, the lagoon is really wonderful and presented in the sun colorful. For our stay were essentially divers, far travelled from different nations, in the department. the Department offers all inclusive, beer and wine were to pay. read more

We stayed in the villa taboo. The villa is not in the lagoon built, but remote and very private geared towards the East. In comparison to the villas in the lagoon she has no access to the water. Sun terrace only in the early morning hours. The villa is larger and protected, however we would decide the future for a villa in the lagoon. The bungalows are all very simple designed and decorated, a fridge with enough soft drinks and beer is available, as well as a coffee maker.

At the diving twice breakfast, lunch lunch, in the afternoon a snack and evening dinner. Everything very good food typical of the country. In the restaurant there are 4 large tables and you can sit, in a very more familiar atmosphere, with the other guests together.

Andy and Marit lead the department and to be addressed. not completely satisfied we were with the cleanliness in our room, only sweep does not help, we must also have thorough be scrubbed.

The diving is very good organized, there are some good places to shop on day 4 possible. But during our stay two in the morning, a in the afternoon and in the evening took place. Most of the diving spots can be found in the department nearby, one has very short ways with your boat. The reefs are essentially intact all there is a impressive Biodiversity, at our time but little migrants.  snorkeling is offered, is but also independently in the lagoon

The resort is 4-5 hours by boat from Sorong away. There are no options for shopping in the area and no pharmacy or doctor. the Department offers some possibilities for excursions, especially recommendable we enjoyed the excursion in the lagoon to the paintings, but not the rock painting the spectacular is, but the many rock formations the the area by Raja Ampat account. A further recommendable trip leads to the village people. You can a stroll through the local village. It will not be begged and there is also no souvenirs to buy. Similarly, we can recommend the various presentations in the dive center by the management offered to be. Especially good this is the origin of the portfolio (incredible)

The hotel has been open for just over one year, so everything is still very new and in perfect condition. We stayed in one of the eight water cottages on stilts over the resort bay. The living area was roughly 35m2 with plenty of space for luggage and good storage for unpacking our things. The Bathroom was also very large and comfortable for two at any time. All meals and drinks (non-alcoholic) were provided. The other guests were Dutch,Hungarian,American or Spanish and maybe one Canadian. Ages seemed to range from 30s to 70s, and one family with kids ... 2 and 4. read more

The room was as large as any standard hotel room, but two large closets for personal storage. The en suite, open air, bathroom was also larger than expected. The main area is covered with the shower area open to the sky. The room has a ceiling fan, and normal fan inside the bed area as well as a room air conditioner. In the end, we only used the bed area fan as this was sufficient. There is no tv, but there is standard electric at all times in case you want to provide your own laptop movie etc. The balcony/terrace was fantastic, it was nearly as large as the room with a fantastic view on the bay. We found our selves each day just staring at the water and spotting new fish swimming past. There is no telephone or coffee machine in the room, but there is a minibar and safe. Cleanliness was perfect and the rooms as still only just over 1 year old so very new.

1 restaurant and bar together. We had 4 organised meals per day, with ongoing snacks and drinks. Quality was very good, noting that we eat mostly vegetarian foods. We did eat the fish, but did not try the chicken or beef although it looked good. We had a variety of feeds each day, surprisingly no repeats for the 11 days other than the core rice and noodles, with occasional spaghetti. Cleanliness was very good. There are a small number of flies in the area, but all of the food was kept covered and posed no issues. The food offered was varied, but local dishes as well as different fish, chicken and meats as well as spaghetti. Of the guests at the time, everyone always had a full plate and sometimes two per meal. No one went hungry. Atmosphere was very nice, very relaxed and friendly. The furniture was all made from wood and gave a nice environmental feeling. No costs related, so no tipping involved.

  • Service

Staff were very friendly and attentive, always polite and ready to clear your finished plates or serve a drink. We only spoke in English with the local staff, but the western staff spoke spanish,french,italian,dutch/flemish,german and swedish which we did not take advantage of. The room was cleaned fully once per day, and tidied and supplied with water and bed arranging twice per day. It was always arranged during the meal times so we very un-obtrusive. Laundry was available, but we did not require this service. We did require some pharmacy items for a small ear infection which the resort was able to provide. They have a full first-aid / "nurse station" to help with small issues, including my scratched foot with betadine. The family with two kids did manage to see the parents go diving, one of the local staff was commissioned to watch the kids. I don't think that this is a standard service, but the resort was flexible.

No pool, but the local bay was calm and shallow for comfortable snorkelling and swimming. All of the guests were very friendly, so were easily entertained ourselves. On two nights, the resort offered a slideshow of the local fish seen recently in the area and another with the BBC Life episode where the resort reef had a small segment. The local dive guide also treated with the guitar playing upon request. The main sport is Diving, but a group of guests were purely snorkelling as well. Internet access is available, but very slow with the satellite connection. There are showers available at the dive center, but all of the bungalows are close enough to use your own shower.

There were two beaches, the one in the bay was a one minute walk along the boarded walkway. The second was a 5-10 minute walk over the hill via a gentle stone-built walkway. This is a small effort with the climb in the heat, but a larger beach. No shopping facilities, only souvenir t-shirts. Excursions were offered as part of the trip, we decided to only visit the petroglyph's which was well worth the 1 hour trip. The ride was very smooth and through the many other islands and lagoons. We also passed the local fishing storage stations which was interesting. Other guests took a day trip to visit a few of the local villages and local schools.
