Hotel Radisson Blu 1919^{(4 stars)}

The Radisson 1919 we booked for the last night, because we in conclusion the inside-city on foot ask wanted. This purpose the Radisson 1919 thanks to its location one hundred per cent. Night owls feel in this hotel also in good hands. Out from the hotel and you're right in the middle of the colorful Hustle and bustle, the weekends until the wee hours of the morning lasts for a while. One is in five minutes on foot with the port, with the new Schauspielhaus, the Walfischbeobachtungsbooten, the restaurants etc. Shops you will find also everywhere in the immediate hotel ... area. On weekends between the Radisson 1919 and the port a flea market instead of. In the same halls sell many fishermen their products for cheap prices. Pay you can take credit. We bought the same a few Kilogram dried fish, which we on drauffolgenden day with in Switzerland took. The hotel convinced also in terms of service in any Respect. As club Carlson gold Member we were upgraded to a upgrade to a suite on the top floor. This was a nice size, in very good condition and well equipped. About three German speaking tv-channels we could welcome. NESPRESSO -coffee machine, fridge, free internet and even the cleaning a Kleidungsstücks was also free in the upgrade included. Not bad, we were astonished, when we the staff at the hotel also two bottles of water and a fruit dish sent. Of check in to check out were all employees extremely friendly and professional. This hotel left a flawlessly impression with us and we can it unreservedly recommend. read more

The Radisson Blu 1919 we for our 5 nights in Reykjavik selected, because it is so nice centrally located. The location is really super, because one has the pedestrian precinct with shops, cafés and restaurants on the doorstep and the port is only a couple -minute walk away. The great location has however also a downside, because if you with the room bad luck has, you can't sleep at night, because constantly drunken on the street noise make. Luckily we had this bad luck only on the first night, when we arrived they told us, that we after the first ... night our room have to change (we did not understand why). As compensation we were given for the first night an upgrade to a junior suite. We were very happy from the suite, as it was a big room and when extra you had here bathrobes, slippers, a espresso machine and a couple more Extras in the bathroom ( for example hand cream), but unfortunately also (as on the 2nd floor located) the night noise. After the first night we should then yes move in the standard room, which was also very nice. It was on the 5th floor ( partly with deviation from pulse flatness) and here we could in peace sleep. Altogether the rooms are very well equipped, modern decor and the clean. The refresh service during our stay was only poorly (it was not sucked and shampoos etc. Not refilled). We had by the way after a 2. ceiling questions, because there was only one! Apart from that the breakfast was great, and the staff always friendly and helpful. We would go back in a heartbeat (but on a room on the top floor exist-). The WiFi was by the way free. read more

Standard room was very small. Such a small room I was so far in no Radisson Hotel offered. Bathroom also small and hardly place to put things. The on the internet announced slippers there was not, on the room service itself concerned. The hotel is in the old town. From here you can the city and dockland on foot explore. The hotel lies nearby of the port and right in the center Reykjavik. Bars, pubs and lots of restaurants in the esplanade distance. Highly recommendable is the Grillmarkadurinn (the grill market ) - at the weekend reservation required-Scandinavian kitchen - excellent lamb and salmon and monkfish from the charcoal grill - fish is amazing tender and melts in the mouth. Equipment of the room is very good ( safe, iron, mini bar, bathrobe and slippers, free Wi-Fi). The office the Iceland excursions /gray line is located two minutes away from the hotel. We were very satisfied with excursions (observation, blue ... lagoon, golden circle) and its organization-the excursions as the Flybus prior to over internet booked. From the hotels, we on the way so could see, we didn't more beautiful or better located hotel in Reykjavik seen. read more

My daughter took me on a business trip and stayed in the office, I had a lot of time to enjoy, the breakfast. It was present everything, you could wish for, fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, cheese, cakes, milk products, eggs in many variations and a nice bread offer. One could dine after heart desire. Great hotel in the center of Reykjavik. Shopping, restaurants, pubs nearby. Only 2 minutes until to the harbor. Room clean, large. Top equipment - amongst others bathrobe, shoes, Waage, coffee u espresso machine in the room. Bathroom small with very little storage space. Perfect breakfast buffet (is missing at nothing!). Free wi-fi. Staff helpful. In the morning from 5:30 a. m. however on the street due to the central location somewhat loud (delivery traffic, trash collection, road sweeper amongst others) read more

A centrally located hotel with a beautiful old facade and very helpful staff at the front desk. In the room they took it with the dusting not as good, otherwise good facilities. There are many restaurants and other shopping possibilities in the immediate vicinity. read more
