The hotel kahramana beach is a charming hotel, divided into smaller buildings from 2a 4 rooms on a slight hillside. The complex is roughly in 2 parts divided: the northern part of closer at the front desk is quiet, the access to this part of the beach (no music, no animation) closer, the cottages are a bit closer and swung for, palms, discounts and blumenhecken surrounded. Due to the hillside location is all rooms the sea to see. The restaurant is from here easy to reach. The southern part of the hotel is on a large bridge to reach. This ... bridge spanning a small 'valley'. Below is a small shopping area with about a dozen shops. Most (circa 2/3) cottage this südteils grouped around the large pool with warm water. The last third of the cottages has a view of sea view, but the distance is much further as the northern part. The beach the southern part is wider and windgeschützer. There the entertainment in italian and the evening entertainment the entertainment crew instead. The complex by Irina the qualitätsmanagerin meticulously monitored and constantly in every corner and ends effortless and improved-we were never disturbed. We found the food great-detailed description come down. The garden is a dream. Many hands busy this oasis to receive. The paths are curvy, of stone arches extravagant, with hedges limited. We never have so much color on a spot seen. To the guests: italians, but mostly on the animated was there, a few russians, a few german, english and also some more exotic local varieties such as Sweden, norwegians and also a few from Australia. read more

Rooms: All normal rooms the same division: hallway, intermediate corridor with a large cupboard, that small safe, mirror and vanity table, refrigerator, huge bedroom with a giant bed, eckkomode with marmorabdeckung and flat screen tv. All rooms have either a balcony or terrace with a couch with edition, tables and a chair. Air conditioning available, but more important: all doors, there is a mückenschutztüre to push. Bathroom: Double sinks, shower (only with curtain-tip: bathroom door a little open, then it stuck to a door), toilet, hair dryer. The bathroom is spacious, is every day cleaned properly, towels always clean and fresh On arrival is a bathrobe, badefrotteeschlappen, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. Ready for each guest Extras: On request gladly a kettle, tea bags etc. Brought.

Restaurants and bars: The main restaurant is located just in the middle the two hotelteile on an elevated place. It is in several large rooms divided. In the middle is the room with the buffet, left and right of which a kreisrunder room with kuppeldecke, an area with 180 degree panoramic views on the sea, in the evening there in this area candlelit dinner. Outside of the restaurant you can also covered nice place to sit, There are breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a bar in the lobby, each a pool bar on 3 stepped pool (just below of the restaurant) and the filtration system, as well as several bars. Between restaurant and the bridge there is an italian café, under the front desk a further bar, both but paying extra. Additionally nature the fish restaurant on the cliff (white pavilions) and the italian restaurant (near diving station completely in the south and on the edge to Calimera Habiba Beach) Cleanliness and hygiene: It was constantly being cleaned here and scrubbed. The cooks wore latexhandschuhe, the tables are constantly cleaned, the table cloths removed and per room look a cleaner ready, with shovel and broom partulliert or upon request from the waiter is called to immediately to clean. At the entrance to the restaurant, there is dispenser with disinfectant for the hands. Food and drinks: We have on vacation taste we have never eaten so well. Often read criticism concerning the can eat we (and many other guests also) couldn't understand. We have, of course, but sometimes salted again. Who every day chips will need to from 11 o'clock the filtration system-since there is the completely fresh, of course still hamburgers. The food was always varied, also in the 6. week we have brand new food discovered. Every day there was fish, meat, vegetables, rice, mountains of different salads, fruit, desserts, fantastic cakes and pastries. A pasta station, where even special wishes gladly fulfilled, always oriental dishes and excellent soups. Once per week there is a oriental evening with fantastic, local specialities. Afternoons and evenings was located outside of the restaurant every day different food grilled food. If you want you can almost the enitre day eat somewhere. In addition to the main meals in the restaurant there is at the normal pool bar in the morning small pastries, from 11 o'clock the filtration system french fries and hamburgers and also in the afternoon at 4 o'clock crepes with chocolate. Drinks: At the pool- and beach bars there were drinks dispenser similar to McDonald's. There everyone Cola, Sprite, Fanta or mineral water get. (no Cola Light) in addition there was different juices, coffee, tea, water dispenser, beer and local ouzo, rum etc. But no wine. In the restaurant there is also a donor for beverages with carbonic acid, a dispenser for juices and flat water and on the tables to stand sealed bottles with 0.6 litres. At any time, the guests these bottles carry forward or get on demand new bottles for the rooms or the beach. Red and white wine tasted very good, but only in the restaurant. Tip: Tip is of course every waiter but not expected and the guests, the nothing gave were always very friendly treated. There is a küchennacht crew the the whole night as sweet particles, Croissant, bread and rolls, Baguette, hefezöpfe and cookies fresh for breakfast in fantastic quality very lovingly bake. The breakfast is very extensive and varied.

Egyptians are by nature very friendly, open-minded and polite people. This applies for this hotel especially. A smile is the shortest route between 2 people, coupled with 3 nice words will warm welcome. Many of the staff speak english, but not all. It is however always a friendly translator. The rooms and bathrooms are every day swept and scrubbed. Freshly made beds, balcony was cleaned, towels changed, trash put out and lovely and tidy. The cleaner were happy about a tip, chocolate or small toys/pen on the pillows. We have always gladly for our amr or yussef ones. (since all of the staff the housekeeping at home have small children) Complaints: Problems and ask are very conscientious treated. For each visit in the lobby we were asked, whether all to our tastes and, whether we needed anything. Our cleaner asked us every day, if we were satisfied or need. Everything was what we had requested was implemented as quickly as possible. Foraussetzung is of course, that its request or concern is. The manager the hotel are frequent and are always interested in, whether you as a guest satisfied.

Beach: The beach is an absolute dream. There are plenty of chairs and covers, the sun shades are on Nordstrand very far apart from each other, on the animated bit close. Towels from 9 o'clock in the morning until sunset anytime gladly changed. Sea: Footbridge with steps-perfect for snorkelling. Very attentive lifeguard, the timid guests with into the water accompany. The nearby riff is beautiful-underwater camera don't forget! The current in comparison to other resorts in Marsa Alam only very weak. Activities: Of course in italian. The plays in Volleyball, gymnastics or Boccia not so the large role. The entertainers give their best, trouble but no guests. Who here traveled alone should take the find a contact, a bit of english most people understand. The child care is of course also in italian but very nicely. Fiorella is playing with the kids, fries and eat ice cream. Not italian are more than welcome.

Transfer from Marsa Alam Airport about 30 minutes, even if still some layovers must be commenced. To Hurghada you have 3,5 hours expect (the way is however worth seeing) The distance to the beach is between minimum circa 30 meters in the north the hotel and a maximum of about 300 meters behind the filtration system. There the complex but in the hillside is always steps to climb. On the complex there are a lot of nice shop in which we also found. Shopping are not cheap, in case of emergency however, you can almost everything. On the complex there is a disco-but we didn't visit. Excursions in ' indiscos ' in Marsa Alam are offered. Desk from the hotel to Luxor, aussuan, quad tours, horse riding, etc. You can always book-the transfer to Luxor but takes 5 hours. On the complex there was the fish restaurant and the italian 'la arrabiata'. Pizza gives it there starting from 4 Euro. Directly at the cliff (in the north) is the beduintent. There you can for 25 €an arab evening with special food and Bauchtanz experience. The stores lease but appropriate clothes-if you want to. The complex kahramana beach, kahramana garden and Calimera Habiba Beach gehörem the same owner and form a unit in which you move around freely and could go for a walk. However in the other resorts all-inclusive for eating and drinking not. Outside these 3 areas for night owls and partygoers not much to explore. (at the entrance to the kahramana garden there is the 'chao marsa' nightclub-there also fussballübertragung) if you're looking for in Marsa Alam misplaced.

The problem what we had, was the communication. The food there was a or other the german a little understood. Since kinnte also a few tips get. It was mostly italian tourists. The looks only whilst eating and otherwise you had the pool for itself, as if we were alone in the hotel. Was quiet for relaxing. To the beach there was a shuttle bus about 10 minutes to get there. The time in the bay you can relax with the sea turtles spend. Mango there it gives to drink but expensive and no snack. And also there you have ... your peace there the other guests for lunch came back and we after eating the bay drove. The staff: it was always friendly. The grounds were well-kept and unfortunately the hotel is a bit outdated. However as already mentioned otherwise quiet except for the food. You should problems with the health. There are outside a pharmacy. The domestic funds help very good and they also spoke german. For us it was a relaxing vacation. Some guests know not only that it is a reef there; it is everything was broken made only an coral in the hand We found that unfortunate so much irrationality. But there were no children but adults worry about the nature to destroy. read more

Since the diving station of a new owner ( before pioneer divers, today blue submarine) took over, it goes crazy and pell-mell! The atmosphere has clearly changed! Our last stay we could not really enjoy. The staff were however as always friendly and accommodating, because of the new System was all very disorganized. One notices clearly, that it within of the staff Tensions are, the manager likely, and also for the guests clearly noticeable. The snorkeling instructor by him paused by the complex to go and scuba diving classes respectively Dives to sell. ( in my opinion the but not ... on its tasks! Who diving will, by themselves in the base go )! It is also certainly not conducive, that three managers the base guide! To hotel complex even you can't say anything negative, it is very well maintained and the rooms really beautiful! It is only lots of Italians since the typically Italian- noisy and notice-) But the new diving basis is certainly no profit! read more

LT tour operator the hotel has 4.5 stars-the it had maybe at the opening. The drinks were always warm, there was no ice cube. Despite all inclusive you got partially during the day at pool- and beach bar nothing to drink, because (probably from lack) the bars simply were not occupied. We were for the 9. time in Egypt, but we have never had such bad food as we had in this hotel. in short, never to this hotel again. read more

The hotel lies beautifully directly on the red sea. The Marsa Alam Airport is 30 minutes away. There are shops in the hotel some, the next town is Marsa Alam. There, there are smaller supermarkets. Apart from that is worthwhile the visit was not. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to abu dabbab, a turtle beach with ( mittlerweiler because of the many guests abgewanderter ) manatee at. There one knows great snorkeling and swimming. But you must promptly register, and have the favorite seats for bus to get.

Cuts are included in the pre-season. With the food, this however nothing to do, they have to be very consistent. But chefs beach chairs were not really hand. The food was always unseasoned, partly only lukewarm. It gabMittag and evenings always the same. The cakes, the fruit, was often still half frozen or cold. At the bars at the beach were the whole assortment Bottles there. Unfortunately only empty. What was offered were local drinks, unloving put in plastic cups. A little mix, with lime, with soft drinks. This is not a burden and brings very much. But that you ... miss it. Actually pity, because the complex and the employees is upper class standard where you be comfortable can. read more

Huge big room, with a large hallway, stocked with wicker furniture, a great large bathroom, the shower however with plastic curtain. Many bureaus and possibilities of accommodation, flat screen (RTL and ZDF), a telephone and a safe available. Everything is a bit getting old and nevertheless comfortable. there are rooms with single beds and double and Zusatzchouch. Minibar is not filled. Air conditioning available and functioned also. Every room has a balcony with a beach chair, a table and a chair. The view is breathtaking.

In January/February was only the main restaurant and the 2 pool bars open, since the hotel only 40% was fully booked. The quality of the dishes was for the most part with the meat and fish bad-mostly too quickly burned and not cooked to end. At the pool bars you got no wine, the cappuccino cost 1.50E, the cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant was very good, but through the partly very loud music, it was missing on a refined comfort atmosphere. Every Friday there was an Arab evening.

the staff's hospitality is very sophisticated. Italian guests be always with a big hello welcomes, I had the impression the German guests if you treat the size of the tip-plays in the thorough cleaning of the rooms a role. I experienced but also exceptions, for example Mohammed the pool and towel boy, and all Breakfestköche. You had always good mood, were simply brilliant. The Fremdsprachenkenntn. refer to English, Italian and of course Arabic. The dealing with complaints the management serious taken, but because of from language barriers often misunderstandings( loud music during the meal times)

Everyone is free to the Italian animation to attend, but it was everything in Italian. There was a small Fitness studio, for me fulfilled it its purpose (2 bicycles, 1 treadmill, Hantelstangen and 3 devices for stomach and back, more, or less well maintained. The beach quality was good, there were enough beach chairs available, you had to get the cushions organize yourself. The supply at the cold pool by Mohammed was perfect. I am a shower nearby the pool known. The heated pool we did not used.

The transfer from the airport lasts about 30 minutes. The distance to the beach takes, depending on accommodation 1 to 5 minutes, there is a quiet beach, without music and entertainment, and a beach with Italian animation and great, music in moderate volume. options for shopping there are enough at the beach, in front desk and danebenbliegenden hotel Calimera habiba. hourly there is a free shuttle bus after Abu dabab, there you can from the beach next to the water, with a little luck you see massive Turtles. The resort is located on a hill at the end of very beautiful otherwise in the hotel a rip-off of guests. A room to get to another is without a charge of 25, -per day (in 14 days 325, - ) not possible. The walkways and stairs are very weak and uneven. The room are very large and are almost all with sea view. The food is monotonous and tasteless. The food was always only lukewarm or even almost cold. Hot was it only in the pasta corner there were each afternoon and evening pasta prepared in the pan. The ... coffee is undrinkable and overcooked, as in glass jugs on a hot plate is available. It was only a sort of tea. 60% of the guests were russians, the other 40% were Italian, french, German and Austrian. We would recommend this hotel definitely recommend on as 4.5 stars its not. It was our 14 so we cannot judge in Egypt this quite good. read more

The hotel consisted of a main building and several one or two-storeyed Nubian-style bungalows around it. About 180 rooms overall. The tourist guide told us that all the rooms had the same size and furniture, just their location was different. You could either get a room near the restaurants or quite far away at the beach. The whole area looked harmonious, just the main building had a different architecture than the rest. The area was ample and came with several paths and stairs. At the beach, there was a long, paved path till the end of the bay. The hotel ... itself was built in 2002 and of course showed some marks. However, the standard was maintained through renovations. The rooms were neat and clean, but you shouldn't expect the European standard, of course. The hotel offered half board and, as of recently, also All Inclusive – we had half board, so I can't say anything about the AI facilities. The food was offered on buffets, was appropriate and relative varying. We had the opportunity to eat in an Italian restaurant, a fish restaurant and a Lebanese restaurant within the area too. They weren't included but offered a 25% discount for hotel guests. I highly recommend the Lebanese restaurant; the dishes there were exceptional and very delicious. The staff was very friendly, dedicated and helpful. Unfortunately, the service in the main restaurant was incompetent. The staff was inexperienced and not used to the food service industry, as other people had written here before. However, all guests were treated the same, nobody was neglected or had to wait longer than others. The staff always tried to be helpful – but the hotel should definitely improve in this area. I can confirm that most of the guests (65%) were Italians. There were also some Germans, Austrians, Swiss and North Europeans. Well, the area around Marsa Alam was generally often visited by Italian guests because of its history. The Italians started to mine phosphate and rock here and are still very connected to Egypt. Plus, it was only 2 flight hours away from Rome. Marsa Alam for the Italians was about the same as Majorca for the Germans. They always behaved properly, but people only looking for other people of the same nationality shouldn't come here. read more

Large rooms – if you didn't manage to store your stuff here... well, I don't know. The bathroom was comfortably 15 square metres large, as well as the corridor and the bedroom with TV and air conditioner. All rooms had a balcony or a terrace, and most of them had sea view. There were a mini bar, a safe, a telephone and some international TV stations. The beds were good, the general impression neat.

  • Gastronomy
    4.5

There were the main restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a fish restaurant and the Lebanese restaurant which we highly recommend. The food quality was good. But the food was only lukewarm and the pasta was mostly too soft. Hygiene was generally okay, but didn't meet the European standards. We were lucky and didn't have any problems because of the food during our stay. Might have been due to the disinfectant the guests could use at the entrance of the restaurant. We used it and hope that the other guests did as well.

  • Service
    4.5

The hotel staff was generally very friendly and helpful. The missing competence was a bit annoying, though. The staff had good Italian and medium to good English skills. Some even know a little German. At least English was necessary for all guests. The room cleaning was good, no problems checking in and out. There also was the above mentioned shuttle (which could be used all day and not only at some fixed points in time such as go at 9.30 and return at 12.30, that's not the case). The last bus left at 5pm, and you should have taken that one, unless you wanted to walk... There was the possibility to do your laundry, and there even was a doctor available 24/7 who had ECG, X-ray and a small lab. Luckily, we didn't have to turn to him. There was a pharmacy too.

  • Sport & Entertainment
    4.5

There were a tennis court, a football court, a fitness room with good equipment, entertainment (in Italian) and plenty of sports facilities (Pilates, yoga, aquaerobics). There were some small shops with all kinds of souvenirs, a disco, internet access and a bar. There was everything necessary to get some variation during a seaside holiday – if you wanted it.

The hotel was right at a very long beach. There was a very quiet and rather empty beach section next to the rock where the fish restaurant was. Next to that, there was the so-called active beach where there was more going on. But the entertainment programme and the music was limited to 4-5 hours a day, which was tolerable. It was quiet until 9.30. There was another quiet beach section in front of the Kalimera Habiba hotel, which we could use too. There were little to no shopping facilities around the hotel. Marsa Alam, the nearest town, was about a 20 minute bus drive southwards, El Quesir was about 1.5 hours northwards. Both towns didn't provide shopping facilities in the European sense, though. The drive to the hotel took 40 minutes, the road system was good to very good. There were no hotels than the one mentioned above, just some small bungalows about one kilometre away. There was a daily shuttle to the Abu Dabab beach which had a very nice reef where we could see the famous dungongs and some turtles. We liked our beach better because of the environment and the crowds of people. However, bathing was nicer in Abu Dabab. The tour operators offered trips on site. You could book a trip to watch stars in the desert, quad tours, trips to El Quesir (not really necessary, in my opinion) as well as to Luxor or Cairo, but the journey there would take very long. If you're interested in culture, you better book a cruise on the Nile, though. We also had the possibility to go on a boat trip to the Qulaan Islands or the Dolphin house (both nature reserves and very much recommended!). In general, we hoped that the building and environmental sins of Hurghada wouldn't be repeated here. At least, they were trying really hard not to do so.

The hotel was clearly located in a beautiful garden area. The rooms were in 2-storeyed bungalows all over the entire area, and nearly all them offered sea view. In general, it was a lovely area which already seemed a little older and was in need of renovation. The paths were a no-go. Even without high heels, they were dangerous, and especially in the evening, you should look around very carefully to avoid stumbling or injuries. We'd booked AI (all inclusive) which was really bad, though. My parents had been to Egypt several times and had never experienced AI services that ... limited. It almost would have been better to just book half board, because the extra price for AI wasn't really worth it. The majority of the guests (90%) was from Italy. That was the main problem of the hotel, because non-Italians were treated like second-class people. Italian guests never had problems getting a waiter, but we always had to wait very long. Once outed as a German family, it was too late for us. We felt inferior and were sometimes also treated that way by the staff. The hotel staff only spoke Italian and a little bit of English. The sunshades, chairs and windbreaks at the beach were partly in extremely bad condition. The holes in them didn't protect from the wind at all. Finding a decent intact chair was sometimes even a little adventure. There were mats for the chairs available, but you couldn't really speak of mats here. Tattered, broken and dirty, so that we were always busy making sure that we didn't touch it with the bare skin. A real no-go. Broken chairs were picked out and got poorly fixed only once during our stay. read more

Our rooms were very spacious, and I definitely got the better one. The furniture was quite okay, but everything seemed a little run down and was in urgent need of renovation. The quality of the furniture in my partens' room was unfortunately very bad, I obviously got the "newer" room. Air conditioning worked well, no problems. My safe was unusable, the one in my parents' room worked well thanks to a key (mine was electronic). The beds were okay. The bathrooms were rather large, with a very small shower. My shower curtain wasn't long enough, so I always had a mean flooding in the bathroom. A few international TV stations available. All in all, the rooms were clean. Towels were changed every day upon request.

  • Gastronomy
    2.5

Breakfast was the best about the whole day. Various sorts of rolls, an egg station (where you could have omelettes, fried eggs, etc.), a crepe station (fresh crepes), three sorts of juice (hibiscus, orange, lemon), various sorts of cold meat and cheese, jam (fig and strawberry), coffee. The lunch and dinner buffets were partly the same. We had the impression that we got the leftovers from lunch for dinner in the evening. Various warm dishes, salads and cakes. The warm dishes were sometimes indefinable and didn't always look very appealing. The beef was rubbery and chewy. The fish didn't look very appetising. Various sorts of steamed vegetables, vegetable casseroles or the like. The food was rather typical for the country. Since there was hardly any variation at the buffet, we got tired of it quite fast, and as the dishes began to look more and more disgusting, I focused more on the salads and the bread.

  • Service
    1.0

Service - nothing of the kind. As mentioned above, Italians were clearly preferred, the other guests were less important. Despite AI, there were no no juices included in the meals, just soft drinks such as Coke, Fanta, Sprite, or just water. The waiters usually only came when we'd called them. On the last day, we were ignored solid 15 minutes by at least 3 waiters, until I finally had a furious go at a waiter to get glasses and drinks. After a trip to Aswan, we came back to the hotel very late in the evening and wanted to have dinner. Dinner time lasted till 10pm, we were in the restaurant at about 9.15pm. Almost all the tables had been cleared, the waiter was obviously annoyed that he had to set one for us again. In response, the cutlery and napkins we were literally tossed on the table. Cleanliness in the restaurant was not necessarily important to them. Dirty tables were "cleaned" with used napkins from other guests and a vinegar solution. Since they were glass tables, everyone can imagine how they looked like. Room cleaning was OK, but could have been better. Unfortunately, we had to attend a doctor during our stay; he was very friendly and helpful. On the whole, he was far more helpful and friendly than all the waiters together.

I've already mentioned the quality of the beach and the beach chairs, so I won't talk about that again. The pools were quite okay, at least the pool chairs and mats were in appropriate condition. Entertainment only in Italian.

My parents had been to Egypt several times and had never experienced AI services that limited.

Barely any shopping or entertainment facilities nearby. Entertainment programme only in Italian, of course, and very loud and annoying. The hotel was located at a house reef, which we could only once explore snorkelling during the 2 weeks. On the first day, our guide pointed out there was only little water in the ocean at the moment (a complete joke), so it was only limitedly possible to swim at the hotel beach. He said that there would be a free shuttle to the beach of Abou Dabbab, which had to be reserved in advance. Reserving it was adventurous. The reception told us that if we wanted to drive to the beach at 9am, we needed to get back to the hotel already at 12.30 (well, a lot of time for swimming ;)). The guide stressed, however, that we could return whenever we wanted (last bus at 5pm). It still became adventurous, as we basically reserved the bus for the next day when we came back. The receptionist told us again that we needed to get back at 12.30, the receptionist in the morning said that it wasn't a problem to come back at 2pm or later, there was disagreement here all the time. Back to the house reef. Well, it was definitely nice to look at, but because of the low water, it was more like a bathtub (water only up to the belly button). Once you got near the reef, the supervisor immediately called you back. This hotel offered two ways to get into the water: from the sandy beach (water to the belly button) or via a bridge which again was in a terrible condition. This bridge went over the reef, so we could go snorkelling right behind the reef when going in on a ladder. Unfortunately, we could only do that once during the two weeks, since the red flag was out on the other days. Well, bathing at your own risk, because there were strong currents. We are quite good swimmers, but we didn't risk to go in there after having taken a closer look at it. TIP: Go to the beach in Abu Dabbab. Great reefs, sandy beaches to go in the water and the possibility to see a sea cow (dungong) there. We got lucky right on the first day at this beach. Since the shuttle was free for us (otherwise return ticket 20 EUR per person), we used this opportunity despite the problems with the reservation.
