The hotel is absolutely not recommendable. An old, neglected area, the furnishings of beach suites, luxury pool villas, water villas totally out of date, the furniture looked worn. The all inclusive food supply was inedible, one-sided, hardly any fresh fruit and vegetables. The whole island was from huge pipes in water ungeben, which very ugly looked. Five star standard uberhaupt not fair, we paid a lot and were gutted. The hotel staff were friendly and tried hard, but the alone has unfortunately not enough, for a memorable and fun-filled holiday in the most expensive season (christmas, new year) to experience. read more

We were now the 2 time on the Maldives and this resort in a repeated visit to the Maldives to beat will not be easy. It everything is just right. The arrival was perfectly organized. The accommodation is a beach pants just like described in the catalogue. A wonderful beach before. Despite 80% utilization of the hotel you wondered where the other guests were. So few one has only seen. The nearby riff on the doorstep. Sharks, Manta rays, turtles and fish in all colors and shapes and the corals a dream. The staff were always friendly and helpful and ... fulfilled on request any wishes. Even if you someone from management met was asked directly, if really everything okay is. The quality of the dishes was also very good and never the same special requests for the food were implemented immediately. The guests were mixed. Warning just before the month February, since new year's day in China. Therefore the wealth stems of these visitors in the Maldives. Also the flight with Emirates you can save itself. A really great hotel, especially the service. But unfortunately no-one has informed about the construction on site the noise and dust is extremely. Construction still to be December 2011. Stop. Drywall construction work! Also when we complained we couldn't be offered alternative hotel! Every year we are travelling about twice to the Maldives. read more

Had a wonderful honeymoon here, we did not want to leave. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Luxury Sunset Water Villas are amazing with the most fantastic stunning views. Food is out of this world. We loved everything about this place and would not have wanted to spend our honeymoon anywhere else. Thank you Centara Grand Island. read more

This was one the best vacations ever. Neither rooms, or water villas, service, food or leisure facilities Irgnedetwas to complain about. Of course you're in the Maldives which opportunities for shopping regards somewhat limited, but this island great beach and/or top-diving spots up for it. the resort was 2010 completely renovated and the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. here I would again at any time come. read more
