As i have read the previous reviews, i had some concerns with the hotel. But i can say and i have lots of hotels experienced, that a lot of reviews here simply incorrect. Only one i can agree. You can the cleanliness and the service abroad not indicated in Germany compare. The must the people know, the a hotel a negative review. In the evening we had arrived for the first time in a room which not at all went. The hair dryer was broken, the shelf in the closet was missing, the remote control wasn't part of the tv ..., the balcony door hardly went, the balcony view on the wall with barbed wire and at night very loud, since opposite on the other side of the street a disco was. I have my suitcase not at all only unpacked and on the next day with tips armed to the front desk and after a calmer room asked (construction section 9 i can really recommend) before we were construction section 11. however, despite tip a day until we could move. Then everything folded and we could enjoy the vacation. The rooms are tastefully furnished and clean. Daily the room cleaned. Sometimes also only at 16 o'clock. You should know, that one no used toilet paper in the toilet throw may (perhaps home practice time ☺ - no worries-smells but nothing. Toilet has ventilation and in the bathroom was even bath with jacuzzi. For wlan one must pay specially. Unfortunately is much rip-off. Wi-fi for 6 days or maximum 24 hours costs in the wi-fi are in the hotel 50 $. Salad you should no food, i was in doctor 140 $cost. The salad is according to another tour agent with tap water washed. It should happen at the bar a la bomba mixed. With another helped. Mostly russians (which are not) and canadians we met guests. Hardly any germans. read more

    The rooms are beautiful. Two mega large beds, a tv, a safe (7 $on the day), a nice bathroom with a bath, hair dryer and separate toilet with ventilation. Important-toilet paper here in the bucket thrown. Not to the toilet. Smells also not from the bucket. Had there only concerns. Tv even with music channel (programme 64-66) mini bar refilled daily. Coffee machine is also present-as alarm clock. Once we had several times during the day power outage and once during the 2 weeks electricity blackouts. Therefore always before the planned showers short test, whether water. Air conditioning and fan, we had in the room.

    There is a main restaurant-there is everything from burger, sushi, tapas, pizza, pasta, cold cheese and meat platters to salads (which i rather would avoid) etc. The food was actually always delicious. Even if the tables outside often a long time on the new ceilings had to wait or the plastic chairs from the vorleuten not yet cleaned, was otherwise everything ok. In the interior area it was always great. The mexican restaurant restaurant i can't comment. The Italy-restaurant is delicious and the red wine was better than the in the main restaurant. Otherwise we were always in the main restaurant.

    As already said, one needs already tip a lot to do. Room change would be without a tip not have been possible. The cleaning of the rooms took place daily. Sometimes only around 16 hours. Doctor is in the hotel available but as mentioned very expensive. I was briefly examined (the belly herumgedrückt ), have something against flatulence and antibiotics and two tablets for the emergency against nausea get. Said the doctor to me, it would be the conversion i should light things eat. I only soup and salads to eat. And antibiotics get. That was clear to me, that the at the hotel beach chairs and not on my conversion. So no salad food-no tossed salads. Complaints do not like it so much. Action room the next day we were 30 by minutes always put off. When we then for the mexican restaurant book wanted a date for 18 hours suggested. Was actually too soon-but the rest of the week was sold out and the restaurant there was always only a week open and the week to the italian. So we took the appointment. Punctually around 18 hours, was still closed. Shortly after the door was open and we went in. We were out-sent-we should wait. It would be not yet. Funny-our clock? After a smoke and now altogether until 6:20 p. m. and have waited for interim again locked was, we went angry to the main restaurant and eat. The next day we got the guest service corporate headquarters-it was apologetic and we got a voucher for another food. Here we have a voucher for the gourmet restaurant and we were told it was for mexican restaurant-so we were back to the mexican sent away. The rest of the holiday, we the restaurant avoided. Otherwise the people already friendly-if you're to them in a friendly. If not - then let it feel.

    The beach is very beautiful. Unfortunately, here too, one must around half seven with towels armed to the beach streak, if you have a space with sunshade to have would like. Otherwise-like everywhere-all couches are occupied. The beach is 2 times per day by tractor cleaned and the leaves. I at the beach from Andrea (the stronger colored) pigtails anflechten leave. Has great-you just had to negotiate-greetings to Andrea justify, if someone goes. The pool i can only little rate. At the active pool was too loud and since i have no animtation gmaw, we were there only once briefly al we on our new room waited. Also here hardly free chairs. The complex still offers more pools-we were by the pool behind the construction section 11. there was a nice bar with a friendly bartender and it was nice and quiet. However only little shade-only the corner with the 2 palm trees, it was a bit shady. However very nice.

    The distance to the airport is not so far. From and to fly a few planes above you. But don't worry-no large aircraft noise. With shopping is in the more immediate vicinity not much. A hotel is still there-the atm use, if the in the hotel not or the card is not. Otherwise only souvenir stores in the area very pushy salesmen. Pharmacy and hairdresser are also right. If one on the hotelstraßenseite at the souvenir shops walking, then after a while a small supermarket. Nothing major - is however ok for snacks.

After the 6 times vacation in the dom republic was this hotel one of the worst we have ever visited, the desolate vacation started on the first day we got only after 02:00 hours our room where in the bathroom no towels were available, the toilet broken so it was called for the guest service where nobody understood us as no foreign languages employees available ( it was then on the next day through the trip advisor clarified). The room key by a magnetic stripe card replaced if it works, we had to take this card whole 7 times ... to the front desk move forward to turn to leave. In the 8. times much the whole system of the castle facilities from, so that we only after 5. hour wait for about 08,30 pm by a secturity inlet in our room got. Very negative as by a traveller understand the seine map in the room leave had, Just after announcement of its room number new card got without any legimitation. The rooms cleaning if you can discuss with a replication cleaning comparable, The every day in the afternoon not before 03:00 pm is completed. I have also tried the staff with several dollars to motivate but except that I my dollars in The wind shot have nothing came of thanks or service of the cleaning staff back The bar staff are not motivated, it goes with the smallest things los so missing in the 2. Week drinking straws for its cocktails, as well as of limes for the Cuba Libre. I would anyone from the German-speaking area recommend this hotel unless he is in his time of vacation A free spanish or Russian language course. 2/3 thirds boozing and bawling spanish, as well as 1/3 russians, Our time of vacation were in this hotel just 15 vacation guests from the German-speaking area! This hotel is noisy whole itinerary 4.5 stars (local) led is however according to my opinion just a two star hotel for passing-through pilgrims to Island of Saona respectively island gatalina. The photos about this hotel are getürkt all or are from a time, as it opens up was terribly long time! The whole complex was since our urlaubsankunft (25,09-09,10. 12) a massive construction and is (was) a bad management run! Never in this hotel again row. read more

We got an upgrade of the room received. This also has the ' Premiumstrand ', free internet, and separate beach bar included. Room was great, with a view of the sea. The upgrade was because of the extensive construction on the complex made. Complex on the whole clean and well maintained. Beach very nice, daily basis unfortunately with seaweed. Food was just bad, mostly cold, at best about lukewarm. Almost always the same dishes. Mass processing without quality! Staff rather unfriendly and not helpful. We are rather uncomplicated Travellers and no' naggers'. However this hotel we could unfortunately not recommend ... it! read more

Won't be staying there again, there are other Travel Destinations. The best part was the excursion in the Caribbean sea, a dream for $70 at the beach booked. Cigarettes Cost in the hotel 5 dollar but on the other part of the street 3 dollars. That was it. read more

We have five times the room changed, as all were not. For reasons, such as: first there have been guests in the room stayed second water from the ceiling and the air conditioning third the room by the sea previous guests still dirty. The whole took five hours, so much to our first day! Construction on building sites, it was a sad picture. The food tasted as yesterday, and when we needed a accident happened and we as quickly as possible after Germany had not helped us. We were alone posed on us. Travel guide in the bar and restaurant ... areas were not prepared to do so, to help us. But what nice was also, the weather, read only please dear, informed you carefully about your hotel! read more

Just returned from a holiday with my family and friends and feel compelled to post this warning about Be Live Grand Bavaro. Our worst holiday experience ever. Hotel is a mess. Our room stunk of mildew, food was really nasty and staff were stressed out to the point that they were of little or no help when called upon. Limited English comprehension made everything a challenge. Constantly harassed by sales people pitching excursions, ownership investment, etc. Screwed up dinner reservations were common, forcing us to eat at the very poorly supplied main buffet. Many of us caught stomach ailments that ... lasted for days. Really spoiled our holiday!!! This is not a 4 star hotel. read more

    Stunk of mildew, shower leaked out onto floor. Towels were always in short supply. Electronic room keys failed frequently, requiring us to trapse back to the front desk, to have them re-coded. A big pain in the butt.

    Put it this way, the fact that my family struggled to even find good things to say about the pasta bar, should convey just how bad the food really is at this hotel. As a parent, it broke my heart to see my daughter literally break into tears because her dinner was so awful. Discraceful!!!

    Beach area was nice, lots of chairs. Area around the hotel was really run down. Kind of scary when we went for a walk. We didn't go far before turning around.

Well-kept hotel area with a beautiful pool landscape and a palm tree, had to be cleaned from seaweed. The food in the buffet restaurant was diverse and, daily fresh fish and meat dishes, and good vegetables. Very friendly, attentive staff at front desk as well as in the restaurant and at the different bars. Unfortunately, I think there was a bar with a roof, where rain and wind was protected. The hotel I unlimited highly recommend. read more

the hotel is a very nice and well arranged! during our stay one saw some minor construction where improvements were made but also where new Rooms created, which we however not when disturbing felt! on arrival in the hotel it was a bit longer gedauer until we could check in, as the women and men behind the front desk somewhat slow opportunity and, so it seemed to us' the peace and quiet way had '.-) all together it went then however nevertheless quite quickly if you at the row was! You get 2 room cards and 2 maps for ... towels and a plan of the total hotels, where everything was! read more

    We had a deluxe room and were completely satisfied! We had 2 large four-poster beds, plenty of storage space in the room, a small sitting area, a safe ( for a fee), Flat screen TV, a separate toilet and a Jacuzzi bath (Jacuzzi) ;-) Everything has a very clean impression and was intact, especially the bathroom! the room was with a air conditioning furnished, we had but also still additionally a ceiling fan. We had a mini bar and a coffee machine.

    the food, the quality of the food ( fresh, Taste) were just great! There was a big main restaurant (Windows) where it breakfast returns, lunch and dinner (everything in buffet form)! evenings there were always theme nights, so a day Mexican, the other Day Italian, Spanish... accordingly there was in each room food typical of the country and everything was accordingly decorated! In addition there was still a 'Dominican' corner, where typical Dominican specialties was! Then there were still 5 more à la carte restaurant, where you however reserve had. Japanese: You sit on a metro table where in the middle a hot plate is. During the appetizers got (fish soup and sushi) has a cook everything before unesern noses freshly prepared, with roasted Rice, vegetables, Prawns, chicken and beef, delicious and beautifully furnished with view! ;-) For dessert, we went to a separate extra-Table! Gourmet restaurant: Also delicious, and recommendable and nicely furnished! There is meat, fish and even suckling pig. Italian : ( Itialiener and Mexicans were in the same' small house' and have daily basis changed). The small house where the Italians and Mexicans in it is directly at the beach, in other words, you have during dinner the palm-trees before and sea view. the Italian restaurant offered also appetizers, and main course Pasta, pizzas and as a dessert type. Italian tiramisu, Pana cotta or Sabayone . the Mexianer there was also appetizers, uS main course Steak or Burrito and were a dessert! Aqua restaurant: Here one could also (champagne)-breakfast, lunch and evenings it was a Brazilian, because there were rodizio...! Then there were still 2 snackbars for the afternoon( fresh Calamari...)

    the service of the staff was simply superb! during dinner was always to ensure that you fresh ( cold) water has (the glass is half full, it will immediately refilled) and also so was always gefrgt , if you wanted to drink, and sometimes automatically again the same drinks brought which you previously had without it ordered to have! You never had a employees seen, of the bad mood had, or the unfriendly, it were all only on the laugh, dance and sing, no matter where they are (, whether behind the bar, in the restaurant...) I would say about 95% of the staff you could communicate in English, the other 5% were only on hablb Spanish and half English, but with hands and feet, the works! in the hotel there were a laundry service ( for a fee), a kids club, a doctor, a casino and a large theatre where evenings ( however mostly only from 22 o'clock) Shows took place. When complaints they were friendly to accept and immediately about it cared!

    Eider main pool (where the pool Bar is) is in need of renovation, the floor is partially damaged and dirty. the pool our blocks (block 11) was however, as it appeared, still relatively new! Every morning yoga offered, water aerobics, Dances etc. The palm-fringed beach closes directly at the hotel to, and de sand was powdery! The sea water was but unfortunately no refreshment, as it had more of a bathtub temperature. apart from that we had, as described above, some problems with the seaweeds at the beach and in the water!

    the location of the hotel is rather somewhat isolated! from the hotel about 5 minutes Footpath you will find some locals Souvenir Shops, that was it then but also! the distance to the beach was a stone's throw away! the hotel lies really right next to fine sandy beach, however we had during our stay some problems with seaweeds, in the water and at the beach, which the beach then N ature not so karibsch looks left, however was the hotel staff always make an effort the seaweeds zusammenzuhaken and out! at the hotel related 'aqua center' you could excursions book, cheaper prices than in the tour operators (partly up to 30 €cheaper).

We were the tenth time in the Dominican Republic. We say today, this was our best vacation. Especially we would like to highlight the friendliness of the staff, especially in the restaurant 'windows'. They were very nice and friendly and always in a good mood. Of course there are always people, DIW something to complain about, I say nothing. So, in conclusion: we will definitely go back again. read more

This hotel has a lot of sympathy with a maximum of two stars. Strongly in need of renovation. The rooms were dirty and in very poor condition. Construction Noise! Room service came only at 17,15 o'clock. This hotel is simple and simply far away from what is promised in the brochure. I would say that this is fraud! read more

Very great and beautiful 2 weeks in Punta Cana at the be live Grand bavaro spent. the hotel is very nice and very clean, with the langage abilities because only some speak English, the rest only Spanish. the beach section is generous, just the possibility swim towards the open sea is unfortunately very limited. therefor the animation is by the pool recommendable, very funny. ! Beware of the vendors in the hotel, they were very pushy and it was good ripped off.! otherwise can I this area only recommend. we will be back again read more

It was a great holiday the hotel was perfect the room was large and in a good condition. for all inclusive guests at the Grand bavaro, there are great places to eat (for example, the choice between the two buffet restaurants and four à la carte restaurants) .Also the choice of drinks was great. It was a perfect vacation we had nothing to complain about. read more

I can only agree with the opinions of some of the reviews. Room cleaning was also go to 18 o'clock and can also be only superficially. The mini bar is only from time to time gefühlt. Long queues at restaurants. However, the hotel deserves three stars. read more

We were two couples and an absolute dream holiday in a great hotel spent. We had a junior suite on the five stars Hotel grand bavaro-that I would recommend to all. So you can all comfort the 4-star range and has additional exclusive spaces. The rooms are a bit out of the way and quiet, has two pools, the 5-star all guests to use. Furthermore, you can have breakfast in the restaurant aqua, lunch and dinner, the very nice equipped is, a terrace and great food served without lines, because it is only the five stars Guests use. Otherwise there ... are four à la carte restaurants for those Evening: japanese (the chef cooks directly at the tepanyaki-plate, very good food, book early as few seats), a Dominican, a mexican restaurant and a mediterranean restaurant on the beach (also great food and great atmosphere), further then the windows hall available (great food in buffet form, a great variety, but atmosphere of a train station). The beach was cleaned the seaweed every morning, there are many possibilities for day trips and water sports possibilities directly on site. We recommend the excursion to saona, the snorkeling with rays and sharks in Marinarium and the canopy tree tour! Also the rooms we have only good things to say, the only negative comment to you, the housekeeping is. Rooms were often only around 17 o'clock finished. But as mentioned: we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! read more

All in all, a very nice holiday with only the room service, linen change and cleanliness, it left a lot to be desired. In the restaurants there was very varied and good food at the bars a variety of drinks. The staff actually controlled all spoke some Spanish, English, the best. read more

It was a really great holiday, hotel area was nice, staff in the hotel was friendly. Food is took some getting used to, but good and varied. Tip for the cleaning lady is advisable because the room is immaculate every day! Front desk are not very qualified speak almost only Spanish. Very important in the hotel you can not euros in exchaning dollars only cathedral. Peso and the course doesn't really change so be. Otherwise the facility is recommendable. read more

I can only agree with the opinions of some reviews. Wet room and musty smell in the Erdgeschossbereich. Room cleaning and time after 6 p.m. before and can only superficially. at night the walkie talkie is the best friend of the staff. Also the offer of time share by the staff very important here and can be very annoying. With a small tip the service at the bar was very attentive. read more

A beautiful area, five restaurants-all very high quality, just huge rooms ... Service in restaurants and entertainment were very friendly and funny, but by the front desk can say. We have 1 hour of waiting for the transfer after check-out and the guy at the front desk helped us not told that the flight was delayed by 3 hours. Fantastic holiday in a fantastic area. Actually there was nothing to complain about this holiday. From the front desk to the front desk about the service in the restaurants, the rooms, the complete hotel area, everything is just right. Especially recommended was the service at the bars. Also the whole entertainment team has to be commended. They were always tried hard to keep you entertained and to join in. But not intrusive. The fun factor has always been at first. The food in all restaurants delicious and diverse. However, we especially enjoyed the Aqua. It is quiet and you had ... a fantastically served. read more
