Great vacation with children. It is completely to the needs of children. From breakfast till for dinner. Nice big room, so that you also with baby bed and pull-out couch still room to move. Pool and indoor especially in case of bad weather every day anew a hit. read more

Big hotel on the heights of Bad Kissingen location. The hotel is very large and therefore, the paths to the restaurant, pool and sauna are already be very long.
The room and bathroom was very big. Facilities and furniture in a very good condition. (was in the house 1 accommodated)
The swimming pool and the sauna are for the hotel guests free.
At the pool you should a few small repairs perform. But much worse sounds than it actually is
The sauna i really liked and should all have something to offer.
In the hotel's own restaurants you could eat ... very well, so that you the building don't have to leave.

We had a very nice short vacation in Hotel Sonnenhügel. We were all around well looked after and we were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Family rooms in the first building were clean and well equipped. Delicious food with an extra kids buffet also in the afternoon were very good. The swimming pool and the sauna were great. You could really great relaxing. And also the child care and the play house were great. We would gladly come again! read more

Family holiday (1 adult with two kids) in the house 1 was overall very nice. Hotel looks from the outside not very appealing, the interior is but good.
The use of the large indoorspielplatzes and the 2 pools have the children great fun.
Food was okay, it was a pity that we first a table with another family had to share, because the hotel was probably completely written off. With our complaint but was professional handled and on 2. the evening we had a table just for us.
Room was well maintained, service staff very friendly.
Care of children is ... offered, was not used by us.
For a short break (2-3 days) good, i white however not, whether it the children in the longer term fun could have been. read more

I was on spring break with two children the sonnenhügel. From arrival to check out i was from really nice staff accompanied. For every question i have quick and detailed answer. The sonnenhügel is a guest of the king. Of beauty, wellness, food, cleanliness. Up to room decor was everything as you could wish for. For me it was holiday and relaxation. By children sonni club and great care very pleasant and well-organised supervisors i a lot of time for me had. The hotel was for me every cent worth. In advance: without the construction we would have the hotel five stars given, but by the smell and the handling of the situation this time only three stars. The is however a tempöräres minus.
In detail:
-
It the hotel is the long ways. 3 concrete block to stay and a block with restaurants and pool (photos enclosed). In a hall to there is a large indoor playground (photos enclosed), 2 tennis courts, indoors and a - in the summer probably clean-grounds.
Excellent for children - unfortunately, it was only with extremely long ways.
We have for our stay almost ... exclusively young families met, and accompanied by grandma & grandpa.
We booked half board, whereas the children also a lunch time (or the, which the hotel it stops, more on this later).
Wireless internet costs per device 5, -flat-rate per stay-the pricing is unusual, but the price is ok. Wi-fi worked everywhere in the house without any problem.
The hotel was mostly clean and decent, the condition partly old, but for the price completely okay. It no luxury hotel, but you can bear. Good value for money for cheap money.
A shame:
Families will in the house 3 accommodated. This is the restaurant and swimming pool at the least, this. In the summer no topic, but with the bad weather in january remains the only way 'in'. This is great advertised, but by 14 heavy doors and felt 1000 stairs and back down. With buggies this way is not to make it. So even at dinner only to go is the full weatherproof gear to ☺
And that was our minus:
In the house 3 - in which we were accommodated- renovierungsvorbereitungen met. In plain english, this means: windy, falling carpets in the hallways and wooden plates move (or the plates, the god-pathetic smelled? - photo is, the smell we can unfortunately not play). At least through the course only with stopped air go. On our floor these ' auslegearbeiten' early around 7° started (or earlier? - at least we were on our last day early around 7° with the construction noise woke us up. When we the room left around for breakfast to go was the smell in the corridor almost unbearable. Unfortunately it was in the daytime not better. Because of our complaint in the afternoon they promised us air. As the dinner was in the whole bunker whole 4 windows open-the smell is still there.
When we on the next day at a discount due to the odors and the failure to ventilation asked we got the obtained a simple answer' the director says, you could have gone to free leave-discount does not exist, so bad it is not,' - it is a pity that we are a day before not had said, when we made the complaint made. Customer service looks differently.

I stayed with my three children a wonderful weekends here. Even if the exterior not that attractive (stop chunky concrete blocks), inside it is still very good. Front desk and restaurants provide a comfortable atmosphere. Especially worth mentioning is the child-friendliness. I was already in several families hotels, but it was the staff very friendly, has always open ears and the children were very well looked after. Whether in of the child care, the playground or in the swimming pool - my kids (5, 7, 9) we were completely thrilled.
Sure likes it at the buffet the a or other ... fertigspeise have given, but it is today normal and i think, that a three star -hotel not the expectations at a 5 star hotel must meet. The dishes was great arranged, for breakfast there was even sparkling wine. Serving staff also here very accommodating.
We had although it is only a weekend, but i could also easily imagine, a week vacation to spend here. read more

We stayed over new year's eve 2012 for 4 nights and we felt very comfortable. Very friendly staff, many families with children, nice arcade, pool, eating and drinking (half board) not varied, but what there was, was good. The house is from the 70's, is however updated and has spectacular big room. read more

My husband and i had the new year's eve package with 4 nights and were with a dog in the house 3. we were already more often in Bad Kissingen guest and have always - on request my mother - in the hotel marktbreit descended. We were from Hotel Sonnenhügel very positively surprised, the food was great, the service and, although the hotel for new year's was fully booked, everything worked well.
The decisive argument for me, my mother to convince, in spite of the not central location in future in the sonnenhügel to book, is our dog Timmy. The ... staff are very dog friendly and you have the feeling also the dog is welcome. The sonnenhügel can young and old be comfortable and i am already looking forward to to, here with my grandchildren spend your holiday. read more

We liked it very much and we will definitely come back again. We can lots of negative reviews do not understand. If you three stars hotel travels, one must not a 6 star hotel. For us was important. Cleanliness, good varied food and the our kids the whole day busy are. And this has 100% ig complied with. Especially worth mentioning the great new year's eve party. Already alone there are from us a star this.
In our opinion the only noteworthy negative, would be the pull out sofa bed. For one child or for 2 children until 6 years ... completely sufficiently however with two kids 8+10 but a bit too small.
Thus do not let you from the lots of negative reviews unsettle. And no we will not from the hotel for our assessment paid. (lol) read more

We were 3 children in december 2012 here and it was great. The worst reviews we couldn't understand. The value for money is great. You should be aware, that it a very big hotel and if you very small children, one should look, that one in the house 1 is housed. We were in the third building and since the paths are very far away, which did not disturb us however and the advantage was, that it was completely quiet, in the evening and at night \u263a
The food was very diverse and truly outstanding. Because of the different restaurants ..., many guests not at all that very on. In the sauna area were always free beach chairs and the pool was-despite peak season-never crowded.
The staff were without exception very pleasant and always focused on the wellbeing of the guests. There were 4 wonderful days and we would definitely come again!
A special thanks also to the cleaning ladies: we had our wedding rings in the safe and this by post receive! Really great!
