Good hotel for excursions to the most beautiful spots Toskanas. Special flair in the evenings in medieval city directly in front of the hotel. Room Gassenseitig not for those seeking tranquillity, However good fasten window. Fantastic view of of the city in the hills Toskanas. read more

The hotel is in the heart of the beautiful medieval town in San Gimignano. It is run by a family who welcomes you with open arms. The hotel is immaculate! While there, I met a couple who had been returning for 13 years! This is a very special place. read more

    The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The bathrooms are remodeled. Some of the rooms have Etruscan paintings on the ceiling and walls.

The staff was so friendly, competent and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Every morning there was a high variety of foods and drinks. The terrace and the breakfastroom is beautiful!! Also the big rooms. We had a great week in this lovely hotel. read more

We had a lovely stay in this wonderful family-owned hotel. The staff was exceptionally helpful. We would stay here again. Convenient location and we especially liked the view from our room, which was the hilltop behind the hotel. read more

We weren't there long enough-- that's the only complaint about our recent stay. Emanuele could not have been more gracious and helpful. Great location right in town. We met friends up the street for drinks and went to an excellent restaurant for dinner. All while we walked around the town. Plenty of interesting Tuscany shopping as well. Big breakfast served in the morning. You can eat outside on a terrace if you like. Everything clean and lovely. Go visit Emanuele and the Hotel L'antico Pozzo. You will be glad you did. We will see him next year again! read more

    Our room was on the small size but that was my fault. I should have chosen something larger. The pictures of the rooms - some with canopy beds looked really nice.

Having got a little lost we arrived at the hotel slightly stressed we arrived at the hotel, and all changed, the receptionist was wonderful our room was ready even though it was only 11. 00 we were helped getting our bags from the car and then given very precise instructions how to get the car into the car par, which we did with no problems. When we returned to the hotel all our luggage had been taken to our room. The room was perhaps on the small side for our American friends but perfectly adequate for our needs, well appointed ... bathroom and just outside our door a wonderful patio area which would be a delight in the summer. Breakfast was a typical buffet but eggs and bacon at 6 euros were tempting and good. Coffee not so good, and being a coffee geek we purchased a coffee moka machine which proved to be a life saver for our early morning coffee The receptionists were very good and always ready with advice. We had booked for one night intending to move on to Sienna but we liked the hotel and S. G. so much we stayed for two nights and toured the area from there. Parking is a little expensive at 15 euros a night but once you get the hang of the direction to the hotel it was not inconvenient and we were able to bring the car to the hotel to load our luggage. The hotel L’Antico Pozzo is an ideal choice to stay in Charming San Gimignano and explore, it was fabulous to be in San Gimignano in the evening after the crowds had left. read more

L'Antico Pozzo is ideal for a couple of days San Gimignano. Perfect location, but room to the inner courtyard book. Facing the street from early morning noise from delivery, etc.. Very nice hotel, perfect for couples and the others who still hope to become candidates. Breakfast buffet was okay, in Italy, you shouldn't expect too lush Büfettzs. The restaurant recommendations around the hotel were great, especially cum Quibus! read more

We were 4 couples that stayed for 4 nights and we have just positive experience with the hotel and staff. The patience in answering all our detailed questions about the sorroundings, giving good advice and tips for excursions to wine yards, rental of car etc before we came was just what we needed. Also the friendly welcome and flexibility shown during our stay and our requests during the stay was just fantastic. read more

We liked this hotel with a very beautiful decorated room. Quite and peacefully situated just a stone's throw from the center. The only negative was the parking facilities, long and steep way to go and expensive. read more

This hotel is located the center of San Gimignano. The scenery of St. Matteo street from window is very nice and it seems as if we tripped middle age of Toscany town. Reception, lobby and room are very good. Interior and atmosphere is perfect. The room we booked especially is good! read more
